**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

What he actually does is recieve the ball from a Centerback, per se', and then instead of distributing the ball, or making a play, he will usually pass it straight back, putting a reliance then on Vidic/Ferdinand to make the 30-40 yard pass, which usually ends up aimlessly being punted..?

His lack of tackle/bite/workrate in this position really stands out. As it did in the final. Like i said, if he's playign 2nd rate opposition who will give him forever on the ball, (like we give to opposing teams in their half), then yes he can do something decent, every so often...

Biggest loads of balls I've read today

I have to say, a midfield line of Ribery-Kaka-Alonso-Ronaldo would be a bit special.

I quite like all this "new Galacticos" malarky, because now Real have Kaka, they're not fussed about Fabregas. :)

Where exactly have Real got this incredible amount of cash from, I never heard
They signed a £1billion TV contract 2 years ago iirc and keep getting their debt cleared by the Madrid counsil i think.

Quite funny about whos the most expensive, but i belive the beeb personally and im goin with Kaka. lol.

Dissapointed that Kaka went, but not fussed as long as the money gets invested. & Pato stays. That is very importent as i think he'll become as good as, if not better than, Kaka.

Rumors of Edin Dzeko, Maxwell & Adil Rami would be a start.
Although i'd like to see a keeper and another midfielder join as well.

Nah, seriously, this wasn't the biggest transfer, I don't care what the BBC says. If one of the clubs involved had been British, maybe there'd be a point, but both Zidane and Kaka's transfers were between Euro-currency clubs. Thus, Zidane's €73m wins.

Apparently, yes.

Which is suprising that they don't want to hang on to any of them. Wouldn't mind Gutierrez or however you spell his name.

Viduka... not sure. Past it?

Ashley's lost the plot

Whilst I agree that all players have a price / need to get rid of the crud players

No-one will want to stay if that's the way you treat them

The club needs to be sold / he keeps it, but the desision needs to be made, NOW

Not sure if many here are interested in lower league football but:

Norwich signed Matt Gill (CM) from Exeter today on a free transfer (rejected a new contract with us)

Exeter have accepted a bid from Derby (believed to be in the region £300k + add-ons) for midfielder Dean Moxey. He's on holiday at the moment though so the transfer won't be finialised til his return.

Hopefully we'll get some decent players in to replace them + others that have left :)

The ground is apparently worth £250m

I can't understand why people aren't jumping at the £100m price tag.

For a start i'd be shocked if the ground is worth £250m and the reason why people aren't jumping at the chance to buy the club is because it's a mess financially. It's losing money and will continue to lose money for a while to come, even if somebody comes in and sorts the mess out because of how poorly it was run up until now.

Get a steady manager, for example Tony Pulis. Sell all players on 45k plus and fill your team full of Championship promising youth and invest in the future. Like shearer said, this has been coming for years. Get back in the Premiership and build from scratch.

Going off what was said by an 'expert' on SSN yesterday who said the ground would be worth a value of around £250m.

Buy, sell the land and all the players = profit. :D

.....and thousands of angry Geordies at your door.

(I know it's not that simple. ;))

I don't think the club is a mess financially to be honest. The £200m pound debt etc. that Sky Sports reports is crap, there is no debt (yet!) except a £40m bank loan (although I've heard some doubt its even that big).

As for the club 'hemorrhaging' money, as all the papers are saying, well we're paying wages, big wow! (not a dig at you Baz but the papers who keep stressing this). If a new owner came in they'd be able to get shot of the high earners (and about 4 are out of contract anyway).

And as for the stadium, the club doesn't own the land it was built on, the council does.
