True because there is no possibility of him leaving now. He is a better player than Kaka and if Real (for example) were after him and there was a possibility of him leaving, I am sure we'd want more than what they've just spent.

Even back in '05 when he came close to leaving, we rejected Chelsea's first offer of ~£38m and came out and said that we'd reject a £50m offer too.

That may be why there's no possibility of him leaving (though with the debt problems that may well not be the case), just that Liverpool would want more than he's worth.

Saying he's better than Kaka is laughable.

Not really. If Kaka's name was Stuart Bogdon he wouldn't be as highly rated as he is, particularly in recent years where he hasn't been as amazing as usual. This doesn't mean I don't rate Kaka, I think he's a great player.

Gerrard is far more versatile and has proved with Torres that he's capable of playing in the same role as Kaka.

Only if you don't know what you're talking about or not seen Kaka play in the last 2 seasons.

Kaka isn't half the player he was. Like most Brazilians, he had a couple of great seasons but has just fallen away.

He probably has but hasnt won the league title yet...close this yr but not quite enough.

Personally i dont think Gerrard will ever be as good as Kaka...Kaka is in a world of his own much like Ronaldinho of Brazil a few yrs ago...wonder whats happened to him??...hes not the player he used to be.

Dont get me wrong Gerrard is amazing for Liverpool but for another team i think he would be distinctly average.

Not really, he's been pretty awesome at times this season. I've watched a fair amount of Milan and he's been good most of the time, scored some crackers too.

He's still a good player but he's far from what he was. He's also playing in an average league, maybe that's been the problem and the move will be good for him but anybody that think's Kaka has been better than Gerrard over the last 2 seasons is doing so purely on Kaka's reputation or because of a dislike of Gerrard.

I think they're too close to call in terms of ability and it'd all be down to opinon/personal preference, I do think that Kaka is worth more though.
 
He's definitely worth more. He's performed in various shirts whereas Gerrard can only perform for Liverpool. Kaka is also younger.
 
In terms of ability Ronaldinho's still amazing but he doesn't produce it regularly anymore. Based on performances over the last 2 seasons, Gerrard has been far better.
 
You're making out that Kaka fits in to the Milan team like any other player and looks ordinary, he's Motm in a large amount of games, he more than often stands out, he hasn't been ordinary or average he just hasn't had the chance to show his worth at the top level as Milan's team can't do well in the CL and none of us really watch the Italian league. People judge him on stats and hearsay, don't.
