Barely a suitable replacement, but he's talented. From an Arsenal p.o.v I'd be happy for it to happen as you'll still be a lot less dangerous than when you had Ronaldo

I dont think we will buy many tho, Fergie doesnt like to buy many players, will be interesting with 80 mill burning a hole in his pocket.

I'll have you know that Arsenal put in a £65 Million bid for Ribery!

It's just that nobody really took notice as we are keeping it on the down low yo'!

Unfortunately in the contract offered it says he has to put the little ones to sleep twice a week so I think that's where we are loosing them.

We still have Lampard & Gerrard in the prem, they are in the mix for top 5 players surely?


Where have all the Ginola's, Kinkladze's, Zola's, Cantona's, Ronaldo's all gone? Pretty much every team in the prem back in the day had a proper dribbler. Unless I'm mistaken I can't name one!!! Maybe the game has changed so much I never even realised :p

SAF always buys a replacement player one or tewo years before they are needed. Ronaldo for Becham, Rafeal for Neville, Anderson for scholes, Nani for Giggs etc etc. Isn't Tosic (spelling?) Ronaldo's replacement?
 
robben and aaron lennon, and to a degree van persie - run the like the biggest fairies in the game.

Wrong on so many levels ;)

Tosic is Giggs' replacement if anyone - but he still needs another year or two to build up some bulk

Nani isnt going to last the summer imo - he will either end up back at Sporting or in Italy (his preferred option)

Arshavin, Hleb last season was a fantastic dribbler.
 
Thank god this has happened this early, means we don't have to hear about it all summer. Unless they replace him and chelsea keep Essien fit next year i can see Chelsea winning the title :)
 
Not a Man Utd fan, but this could be perfect for Utd, allowing Rooney to push back up front into his favoured position and using the money to buy 2-3 world class players to improve the overall balance of the team. When we (Everton) had Rooney, we build the team around him but when he left we used the money to improve the whole squad and benefited from it. While Man Utd have an exceptional squad 2-3 world class players are better than just one Ronaldo. If they used the money to get players like Benzema, David Silva or Ribery they would be an even scarier team than this season I think.
