Newcastle want to use and pay for a person with the perceived image and identity of a thug? Huh?

Not to mention Utd don't have to accept offers. People really just need to stop freaking out, its fully possible to not have a single 50million player in your squad and still win a league, cup, or both. Real Madrid are spending big because over the past 5 years the team has turned into a pile of steaming poop, they've been replacing Galatico's with, well, average average players. Theres 1000's of great players out there, and only a handful of clubs that can spend 20mil + a player, a few clubs for years have spent huge every few years, nothings changed, nothings new, only the minute by minute updates turns it into a media frenzy of ridiculous proportions.


Real Madrid are spending big and it is interesting, but for me its far more interesting to see who City, Utd and Arsenal bring in, and I can wait more than 14 minutes to find out.

lol. I am chelsea fan and yet I can clearly see that Utd are the best team in the world. 'I also find it funny to say' that they lost a couple of games. What team didn't lose a game? O'Sullivan is the best snooker player in the world. Doesn't mean he wins every match does it.
 
The tabloids really are scraping the barrel with some of their transfer gossip. Are there any credible sports writers out there?

Just reading the 'EXCLUSIVE: Fergie - Ronaldo was always going to quit... and I'm losing Tevez to City' from the Daily Mail, and out of the whole article the only quote from Ferguson was, "He wanted to leave, it's as simple as that. He was going to go some time. We've done well to keep him for so long.'' No quotes about Tevez, and they don't even reveal how they managed to get into contact with Ferguson on holiday.

What a load of dross. I'm fed up of this summer already. :/

We dont 'have' to take anything, if you think we do then I'm afraid you're more believing of what the media tells you than the facts themselves.

Unless you are their accountant whatever you have been told is propaganda from one side or the other isn't it. You don't need to read the papers to see that benitez spends the most every year and then tries to claim he didn't when yet again he wins nothing.

There is a big difference between Benitez spending the most and then claiming he didnt when he wins nothing and us having to take what we can for players. My point is that if you think that we 'have' to accept whatever offer we can for Torres, then you are quite quite wrong.
 
I do think its funny how our debt is being looked at considering UTD them selves as far as i recall are 300million in debt the reason are`s is being noticed more imo is a)owners who should just leave cant even work together right b) we havent won anything for awhile.

It's amazing what some reporters will write to sell papers. They're just looking for something different from every other rag but that was beyond ridiculous.

Doesn't trouble them tho does it. Second richest club in the world. Some of that money comes from winning trophies btw ...
 
Utd are unlikely to get Silva from Valencia, yet even that is 100% certain compared to getting Torres - all this "speculation" is tiresome

Good to hear the quotes from Vidic though - I always knew he was happy at the club, his wife still concerns me medium/long term though
