I've read some reports saying he's great and others saying he's just another Quaresma, but with a left foot.
It would be interesting if we were able to sign a good left back, not for cover but as a possible first team player, and we could push Evra up the field.
Let's hope for a few more transfers in the coming days/weeks. I still reckon another attacking central midfielder would be ideal, someone like Arteta or Cahill who will get goals, another element of our play that has been lacking for absolutely ages. Along with a proper striker, and possible left back I'd be happy.
United really dont need another left back, I'm already concerned that due to Evra's form Fabio is barely going to get a look in as it is. Then there's O'Shea that arguably plays his best football in that position.
As for midfield I can tell you now than neither Arteta or Cahill are good enough to play for United although I take you point that now with Ronaldo gone we're lacking behind Chelsea and Liverpool in having a 20 goal a season midfielder but finding one if going to be nigh on impossible
I don't think a right back is priority this season. We still have wes, neville, oshea and rafael who can all fill in there so not sure that would be high on fergies agenda.
A decent striker and a left winger/playmaker would be good (not asking for much I know...)
From what I've seen from Valencia his pace can hurt teams. Hopefully he will become a proper winger and start slinging some decent crosses in for us, which is what we have missed I think. I would rather have signed Ashley Young to be honest, but he would have cost more obviously.

To be honest i'm a bit surprised about Valencia, he's ok but i wouldnt say he's good enough for a top side. No doubt i'll get proved wrong next season though.

He's certainly a talent, won best Young Player at the Euro's back in 2004 and seems to have the pace and a few tricks about him. He obviously though needs to up his goal scoring and be reaching at least 10 a season for us.

The kid has got talent, they've got a bargain considering the prices of footballers this summer. I reckon he might bang in 15 next term! He's a splitting image of Ronaldo with how he plays.
Personally think he will get a decent number of assists - but maybe only 5 or so goals
It will take time before he is a goal machine (if he ever becomes one)
Better players around him, positional sense will get better, will play in a 4-3-3 rather than a 4-4-2.

Looks like RM are just buying the best players around so they can win everything next yr...altho id laugh if they didnt win anything next season lol

Yeah, there is only one place players want to go to this summer and it's Madrid. It doesn't help when they wanted to join Madrid before all this spending, they are a very lucrative team to join and play for, even more this summer. If it happens, the likes of Huntelaar and RVN, Robben will all definitely have to go. And they'll go cheap too as they're surplus to requirements. I reckon all 3 will be Premiership bound.
.....Just said on SSN that he was in place to go to Man United, he was agreed contract and everything, practically done deal.
And then Madrid came in and put in a bid thats far bigger than Uniteds, and put him on a 6 year contract for huge money.

Doubtful if Utd will up there bid but the report said Madrid and Utd agreed a fee and he would have been happy to join us. Albeit Madrids was some €6M above ours. Makes you wonder if they will go after Ribery & Alonso still
