Ignore Gaygle, judging by his name he's not interested in girls anyway!

You have to get physical straight away, it's the only language they'll understand. They'll respect the fact that you know what you want and don't want to have to 'beat about the bush' trying to get it.

Be confident, Dont be shy and lead the conversation. Dont ask the general qustions like name, age and where she lives straight off else it will feel like an interigation (you can get all this info later) if she likes you she will give you this info without you asking. Ask her something interesting like 'what do you think of....' or 'did you see that thing/guy' then intreduce your self. If your relaxed and she turns to engage your conversation then your in.
 
As someone said, hardest part is just walking up to her. But, you're on the bus. So, just man up and go sit next to her and say "Hi". From there on, it's child's play.
