I told my mate who I work with about the Young to Spurs comment and he said exactly the same thing as Visionary. lol. (I love winding him up about Villa).

It does seem very hard to believe.

doesn't sound like Harry either to be honest, why buy a single player for a total of £30mil(if its £20 + players) when you can buy 15 2million pound players. Harry's transfer policy has always been get as many players as can physically fit onto a coach and hope one or two are good enough to keep the team going till he runs away.

Arsenal wont be signing anyone until they have done the Ade deal. Then we can have a little giggle to ourselves and buy a replacement :D

Or shock and horror...maybe spend it on a position we need like...DM?
 
Two new sources say that Liverpool have sneaked in for Young.

So the info that came out about us getting him may be null and void if he thinks Liverpool want him.

EDIT: Is there much point in me posting this ITK stuff? Is anyone actually interested?

Completely agree, if you can't play well with Cole behind you, you suck, really badly. He'll pull the covering winger or the defender out of position with overlapping, or cutting in runs, he'll always be there because of pace/fitness meaning a player like Cole instantly means you have more space to work.

If you want to cut wide and cross it yourself, play him on the overlap, move into space, get ball back, cross. WAnt to cut inside and shoot, Cole runs the overlap, he's pulled at least one player out of your way so one less to get past, and you also have the option of pretending to pass to Cole before going past your man.

WHat he really meant was, with a good player who can cross, is faster, can beat his man better, Downing looks worse, with a worse player behind him, Downing looks better. There in comes why he looks better for Boro, simply, the players around him were worse, he still was rarely good, no consistancy and even on his best day, is no where near as good as the likes of Young on his best day.
 
Good news about Gibson signing a new contract with us today, hope he pushes on this season and becomes a regular.
