Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano is keen to secure a move to Spain as he has grown 'tired of life in England', according to his agent.
The Argentina international is a reported target of Real Madrid and Barcelona, but the enforcer remains part of Reds manager Rafa Benitez's plans.
However, Mascherano's representative, Walter Tamer, has claimed the 25-year-old has grown unsettled in the Premier League and is eager to move abroad.
Tamer is quoted by Infobae.com as saying: "Barcelona is the easiest deal to set up as Javier wants to go to Spain. He is tired of life in England.
"His wife has not been given a permanent visa. She has to go through an odyssey each time she wants to go.
"Liverpool refuse to sell, this can be overcome with an extraordinary offer."
Dunno why we need them anyway. Who needs 4 RBs? 5 with Corluka.
We are delighted to announce the signings of Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker from Sheffield United.
Naughton (pictured below), a 20-year-old full-back, made 50 appearances for his hometown club last season scoring three times, having only made his debut for The Blades against Port Vale in the League Cup last August and his performances were rewarded with a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
The England Under-21 international had previously enjoyed a six-month loan at Gretna in the Scottish Premier League from January, 2008 where he appeared on 19 occasions.
Walker (pictured right), 19, made his competitive debut in November, 2008 against Oldham Athletic during a six-month loan spell with Northampton Town in League One where he played nine times.
The Sheffield-born England Under-19 defender returned to Bramall Lane in January and featured in seven matches including starting all three games in Sheffield United's run to the Championship Play-off Final.
Dm what about the club where he started? Didn't spend bucket loads there. With the statements given out it's quite clear the Arab owners and Sven are here for the long haul. There is no quick fix. He also only lost a handful of games for England and got city to Europe. All be it by a bit of luck.
This type of stuff is getting really annoying. It's particularly stupid considering it was only a few weeks ago now Mascherano was all over the papers saying how it was a great club and Teves should join him at Anfield. I don’t mind players asking to leave in private but why should players and agents feel the need to public announce they want to leave, or “I’d love to play for xxxxx”, or “xxxxx are interested in signing me”, or other players “xxxxx would be welcomed at this club”.http://msnsport.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12040_5447518,00.html
Mascherano's agent is upto his old tricks again
I hope Benitez puts his foot down on this one. I cant accept its anything to do with Masch's wife unless he himself comes out publicly and tells of the problem and his desire to leave.
******* agents wanting more money...
Hmm, seems the ITKs were right for once.

Damn, Naughton is really good, reminds me of Clichy! Walker is alright too. Good buys for Spurs anyway, fairly reasonable price too.
Same has never been said for Newcastle.![]()
True, but we're not saying it this season because we can't buy anyone.![]()
Has that clown Ashley gone yet ?
My friend mentioned something about Newcastle pretty much being bought out the other day ?
There was apparently a bid the other day but nothing more has been heard.
Still clueless at the moment.![]()
