**Summer Transfer Thread: News, Rumours and Speculation**

Redknapp must still be having nightmares about that Villa match when Young was eating Zokora for breakfast, next time they play he's gonna stick Chimbonda, Hutton, Corluka, Naughton and Walker on him.

Until of course, Zokora was brought off at HT and replaced by Corluka who kept Young quiet for the rest of the game.

Zokora isn't a RB.

Harry's finally admitted Tottenham are interested in adding some Klass to the side, here's hoping Levy can get in fast as the player seems to have rejected a move to Stuttgart.

Only problem is Wenger is sniffing around Huntelaar also.... :(

I thought the deal had been done for him to Stuttgart?

I see Cashley Cole is adding more class to his profile by saying he hopes ManC knock them out of top 4. This is coming from a player who said he was a boyhood fan of Arsenal when he was at the club. It would be funny if ManC knocked Chelski out of the top 4 after he said that. (No offence to Chelski fans, more directed Cashley Cole ;) )

I dont really want Benitez signing Distin, after the last 3 pre-season matches I would much rather he looks at buying attacking players.

He wont be that expensive tho and you need to fill Sami's boots. Good signing if you ask me, he's a very complete defender!

Awesome! Really happy that Stuttgart have dropped the deal and we're in for him.

Tottenham have confirmed their interest in Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, after the striker shunned a switch to Stuttgart.

The Dutch international is surplus to requirements at Real Madrid, despite only joining the Spanish giants in January this year.

Spurs had looked as if they had missed out, as Stuttgart agreed a deal with Real Madrid worth around £15million, but now Huntelaar is heading back to Spain after rejecting the offer from the Bundesliga side.

Horst Heldt, Stuttgart general manager, said on the club's website: "We were willing to sign Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, because his qualities would be of great benefit for our team.

"But we are not willing to accept Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is putting us off."

Stuttgart's failure is now expected to signal a swoop from Spurs, after their boss Harry Redknapp confirmed that the 25-year-old was his top striking target.

"The lad is a very good goalscorer and I'm still interested in him," said Redknapp.

"I know of Stuttgart's involvement but I'm hoping we will still be able to do something.

"There's a lot of talk about who I may or may not be after but Huntelaar is the one I like."

Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in the player, who will link back up with Madrid on Thursday, but the Spanish club are hoping to have secured a sale before the end of the month.

Trouble is, the way I see it, we already have a few other players who can do his role. If it was me I would be trying to concentrate my buying on the gaps in the team, strengthening our weaker positions, which for me is our attacking options.

Seems like Cashley just cant give it a rest...always having a pop at Arsenal...the little **** got his dream move by going to Chelski where he got what he wanted in wages but still has this idiotic tendency to keep having pops at Arsenal...seriously the fella needs to concentrate on his footie and keeping his penis in his pants :p.

Awesome news if Nasri is back in 6 weeks time...hes a brilliant player.

E'to has agreed terms with Inter Milan...good signing for them but i think Ibramhovic is going to Barca according to SSN.

45M euros plus Hleb on loan for a season and Eto'o permanently. The worst piece of business I have ever witnessed in football.

Whats with this deal for Zlatan...

Are Barcelona giving them Eto.. money and Hleb for Ibrahimovic?

Yeah, supposedly being concluded today.

Despite everyone going mental I don't think its that bad a deal for Barcelona. Eto'o's contract runs out end of next season so he's worth next to nothing at the moment, Hleb has been crap for Barcelona when he's actually played (despite being a decent player) and both Eto'o and Ibrahimovic have both scored the same amount of league goals in the last 3 seasons (57) despite one playing for an infinitely worse team.

The problem for players like Ibrahimovic is that he gets about 5 games max each season to prove himself to English fans. Most of these games are against the best teams in Europe, for example his two games against Man U last season.

Messi had the same problem but if you picked 6-7 games out of Ronaldo's last season against even crap English teams where he did nowt (see Wigan, near end of season) then there's no way you'd say he's one of the world's best players.
