Me too, btw you can avoid the BP on 5-2 just be prepared to face a good few giant trolls on the way :D I'm currently farming 4-2 for Darkmoonstone atm so I max out my Crescent. Also been trading with the crow for some demon souls to upgrade my Adjudicator sheild.

Brought my copy of the bay from HK, didn't get hit with tax :) (£38 delivered). A couple of mates have brought used copies from the UK via the bay and managed to snag them for just over £30 delivered.

Off on holiday in an hour so won't be around for a week, it's going to be painfull without my DS fix :D

not sure about the online dark phantom idea, just had two people in succession join my game and just follow me doing nothing but blocking and only attacking me when there were other enemies around :(
 
Black Phantoms only appear when you're in body form and are there primarily to kill you. I normally just kill myself if I don't want to fight anyone, they can't get in when you're in soul form.

I agree its not a great idea early on, but when you level up a fair bit you start to appreciate it as a way to get large amounts of souls fairly quickly.
 
decided to buy this off the bay tonight. Uk seller £45 though lol. Will be the only game im getting for August. :D will be up for some co-op on this beastie if it gets my seal of approval :D
 
I'll be up for some co-op, I know you can do atleast 3 player. Lets try and get everyone off OcUk in one game haha.
 
My copy arrived from Renchi a couple of days ago. It's a great game, finding it pretty hard though at the moment. No doubt once i start levelling up it will get easier.......maybe. Beat the first boss, then found myself a littlle while later looking up at an enormous Death Knight or something, 2 hits and i was dead :)
 
Levelling up certainly makes it easier, the enemies don't level up with you so you get more and more powerful in comparison :)

It's worth getting the magic weapon spell and then you can easily get quite a few soul points beating the first 5 enemies in level 4-1.

Sounds like the Tower Knight, cracking boss if not a little easy when you find his weakness.

Magic Weapon is also fairly useful for one or two of the bosses. Its also worth keeping an eye out for items such as the RuneSword, these items become more powerful with stat upgrades and have magical qualities to them meaning that later on in the game they are more useful than the spell itself. The downside of MWeapon for me is the inability to use a shield and given my gameplay style involves a patient, shield up approach I was unable to fit the spell in to my "build". As I said though, it is a very good spell and i've seen it used to great effect by other players.

You can cast Mweapon and then use your shield, you only need a catalyst selected to cast it but it stays active after that (sorry if you knew that and I'm stating the obvious). Haven't found the Rune Sword yet, have a pretty vicious mace though :)
 
Ok so this Tower Knight that gave me a caning :) When he kills me is there anyway to repawn in that area again or do i have to go through the whole level again? Hope this makes sense.

Yeah, knew that :) For some reason i'm less wary about switching my catalyst with my weapon, rather than my shield :p.

You have to go from the Phalanx archstone. If you need any help with the boss let me know, there should be some hints scattered around on the first few pages of this thread.
 
Im a knight and have just got as far as 1-2 , just before the boss.Where can i get the magic weapon spell? I dont have a clue.

It's in the Nexus, a guy on the ground floor sells spells, he is tucked away in an area to the left as you look towards the corridor full of messages. You need 5000 soul points to get it.
