So, general impressions are fairly good then gents? I've got a preorder for the US one sorted so eagerly awaiting it.

To me this potentially looks like one of those games that people will talk about for years to come if it makes it to the UK

At that start of the game, I hated it.

Now, I love it. Absolutely epic game.

If a UK publisher doesn't pick this up I will be extremely surprised.

No I left it alone as my character can't use a bow yet.

I hope it does make it to the UK but I suspect most players will be put off by the difficulty, which is a shame as the game is very rewarding.

It reminds me off the arcade games of old where you would only last about 5-10 mins for your money but would have to insert another coin just to beat the next part of the game.

. Got my magic stat to level 10 the other day so have switched from Miracles to Magic. Beginning to wish i'd started as Magician rather than Temple Knight, still the halberd was cool for a while

Took down the Armoured Spider (finally)

Decided to have a run through 3-1, really struggling with the medusa's

Think I might have to rethink my approach.

Oh also briefly tried 4-1 and got slapped around straight away by the skeleton's. Unfortunately my magic is high yet strength is low and magic is virtually useless against them

Grats on the kill

If you're a magic user, playing through 3-1 would be a very good idea. Without wanting to spoil too much, I freed someone there who is very useful in terms of souls and spells. Infact, he helped me defeat the dragon

I assume you mean Freke? Anyway got all the way to the boss's door last night only to read a message and drop of a ledge that went nowhere

Also I assume that freeing the blue phantom is ok?

No idea, didn't see the Blue Phantom when I went though. Have now killed the first boss on each level with the exception of 4-1. Fought my first black phantom too (and won). The more I play this the more I love it

I take it you mean some one invading your world (Black phantom)? not the ingame one's, i.e. the one that appears just before the boss in 3-1.

If so what do you get for defeating them, and were they tough ?

It seemed to be an AI one unfortunately. I'd have loved the chance to fight another player though

It was the one in 3-1, right before the boss and once I worked out a tactic it wasn't difficult at all. For the phantom I got a bunch of souls, can't remember how many and I don't think there was a drop at all.

Yeah I've taken down 3 of them now

The one before the boss in 3-1 (with the crossbow). I also encountered two at once in 2-2 after the amoured spider.

Well, i've now beaten every starting boss (1-1, 2-1, 3-1, 4-1, 5-1) and have no begun training myself for the 2's

. Had a go at Flamelurker the other day, absolute nightmare that guy. Didn't even get his health under the half way mark and he killed me in a 2 move combo

.

Nice, take on the Tower Knight in 1-2 if you haven't done that already? I found him quite easy although stay away from his sheild.

I got as far as the boss in 1-3 (fool's idol) and made a silly mistake so have to do it again

Decided to purchase some spells from Leke with my demon soul's, need to try them out.

Yeah, killed the tower knight. Infact I did him in before I went to any of the other areas. Spent 30 minutes fighting him, just trying to find a weakness or a way around that shield. Holding O down seemed to do the trick

Beat Fool's Idol today finally figuring out after the 3rd time of her respawning how to beat her

Then moved on to 4-1 and decided to bring in some help, wow co-op is great at first I had a player go through the first part until they fell of the ledge (facing one of the gold skeliton's) then I called in another player called anna to help me beat the boss which we did with ease

I then tried to help someone beat the boss on 2-2 but I wasn't much help and the poor soul died

Then tried myself on my own and died.

I've added you to my PSN so if you fancy some co-op (assuming were at similar level) then message me and we'll meet up

Think im soul level 40'odd. Co-op sounds like it would be a blast, i'm currently moving stuff about the house but i'll hopefully accept and be on within the next few days

I'm currently level 38 and I'm fairly sure you can co-op as long as your -/+ 10, so we should be OK

I'm currently struggling with the Flamelurker, managed to get him down to a quarter, but then he's get's really angry and charges me

Just out of curiosity, which way do you go to get to the boss?

Do an immediate right, end of the corridor then I go around the back of the lift and jump down from there. It's the only way I know otherwise I find myself running round in circles fighting the lava bee's ?
