I was allowed to hold a Slim while I was at the gaming store and oh my goodness compared to my 60gb which I mauled up to Hanley the Slim was like a feather in comparison. They say it's something like 34% lighter than the fat which I assume they're talking about the 80gb etc. The 60gb is even heavier than the 80gb so I'm assuming it's over 40% lighter than the 60gb.

Could you not have got more on the bay?
I've put my 60GB with backwards compatibility up and it's upto nearly 300 quid already. Auction ends soon, so fingers crossed.

Have pre-ordered my PS3 Slim pack with Batman:AA for the equivalent of 250 quid also, so should be able to pick it all up on day of release :D

I have no idea where people are getting them for £229. I'm paying the full £249 but I guess if something fails I can just pop into town the same day and get it sorted.
 
Pre-ordered mine today, £249 with Fallout 3, a blu-ray(can't remember what one) and a HDMI cable.

Now gotta put my 360 on the bay to make some cash back.

***** gave me £230 for my 20gig XBox and games. So PS3 cost me £20 ;)

Please do not mention competitors since it is against the rules.
 
I'm now considering cancelling my pre-order since everywhere else is bundling many things in for the same price of 249.99.

May be worth waiting a week or two to see if bundles magically appear. Shame I'm using store credit.

Pretty much my justification for buying in a high street store than the internet - now if a store was doing a bundle for £250 I would be interested...

Canceled my pre-order. I figure I may as well wait and see what bundles come out and get better bang for buck.

No real rush to play until Fifa 10 anyway.

Not so bad, but yes not great. Bad Company & Fallout 3, or Fuel, Damnation & Dead Space. Shame there isn't a Dead Space and Fallout 3 bundle, that'd do well.

Still, better than paying the same money for just the console itself.
