BF2 1.5 patch on 1 September

Well, i dont agree even slightly.

I play on jalal with vehicles but never use jeeps for more than transport to main fight.

NEVER play on aircraft servers. Think the infantry combat is amazing, and my favorite vehicle is the vodnic :p
 
I used to love the vehicles but it got to the stage where teamkilling to get the armour was rife, Infantry only with good admin can be brilliant and on a large map, last for a good time with low ticket blead.

I guess its all down to choice, for me its sniper on infantry or engineer for vehicles!

I agree, i really dont bother flying aircraft at all now, i generally find that the servers biggest knob heads tend to gather around them.....

LOL.
A decent infantry squad (Two A/Ts, resupply & two medics plus other) can run rings around armour players. Conversely, get a decent squad working with the armour (Repair/ resupply and top gunner) and the balance evens.

In referring to the actual infantry combat mechanic itself, just feels very unpolished and not much feel to it. Been the same for all pc bf games though the vehicle combat usually feels like its had a ton more time invested into it.
 
Got it down from Fileshack (account holder) in about 40 minutes at around 500 to 750 kb/s.

Will test it later. I need practise too, when I played the other week I was awful.

Problem number 1

I couldn't alt tab out of 1.41 now with 1.50 I can but the game wont come back up AGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got into game and every so often it freezes for about 5secs ping goes massive. Happend on 2 servers 3rd time it happend I got an error saying PnkbstrB has stopped something like that

I got to a high rank without aircraft (Karkand mainly) when i needed the badges for rank i found that i was unwelcome as a noob in aircraft, the teamkilling made me go back to "my game" and when infantry only become rife i suddenly found i could play BF2 for enjoyment rather than points,without grabbing a bit of armour and getting gold medals!

I have not had gold as a sniper (medic can do it) for god knows how long but i enjoy the scenerio/gameplay and now the admin if not EA have got rid of the C4 glitches etc. The game rocks! 1 h 16 left for me!

It says,

"Server providers around the world will have access to the client file so find your closest host for best download speeds. To install Battlefield 2 Update v1.50 you must have Battlefield 2 updated to version 1.41 or Battlefield 2 Complete Collection from EA Store installed"

So yes a fresh reinstall it seems!, although I'll try to overwrite from 1.5 Beta 3 first and see what happens!

If i recal, 1.4 and 1.41 are both about 500MB, so yeah, wasted effort!.

I recall no game in history (well mine) that has a 2GB patch tho, sure EA have set a personal best with 1.5!
