Derren Brown - outdone himself this time?

The screen was frozen when the lottery began and a projection (done with IT and TV skills) of the lottery put over the TV (the picture wasn't actually the TV). Notice how he didn't move at all in the draw, very unusual (as it was frozen). When the screen was frozen the numbers were written on the balls in the pen as they were announced. Derren the struck the same pose and the footage was being shot again. He then reveals the number he's just written down when the screen was frozen.

watch around 5:06-5:09, the left ball seems to raise up around 5:08. Before that time it's all level, after that time the left ball is definitely higher than the rest.

Wrong. It's clearly at the same height throughout.

Me thinks you are forgetting that the ball on the left becomes the ball on the right when he turns the stand around.

Haha, there is camera trickery in motion here.

During the part where he is explaining and standing infront of the turned off TV, the balls are all aligned perfectly.

Just after he reads out the numbers and writes them onto his board, there is a very slight flicker and the ball on the far left is out of line, by a very slight amount but it is visible.

I don't know what you're seeing, but I've watched it three times in HD on a 106" and I don't see anything like that.

Hmm... I might need to come round yours and check it out on your 106" TV... Maybe bring a few films round... :p

Oh and the TV was not a projection - multiple times he has his hands up near the screen and the TV was on as he brought the card down from the top of the TV - if it was a projection, it would have created a dark shadow - but it doesn't

the 39 ball seems to be bigger than the rest. and the platform the balls are on isn't strait in which the 39 ball is on the highest end.

When he gets to the bit where all 6 numbers are drawn and before they get sorted numerically and he writes them down - watch the left most ball very closely - it appears to lift up slightly...

60" and SkyHD - sat at a distance of about 4' at the moment. :D
