Derren Brown - outdone himself this time?

All the answers seem to point to camera trickery but for me it's a very, very cheap way to do this.

I can't see Derren resorting to use of a camera trick (even if it's seemingly obvious he has) - purely for the fact that it's not magic and if it is illusion, it's been too easily explained by anyone with half a clue.

If it is camera trickery, I can't help but feel this event will be tied into the next one, which is something like 'how to control the nation'.

He stands to lose a lot of respect and followers if it's something as poor as a split screen.

Precisely!

No one here can truly believe it's split screen - if so, take me up on my bet! If it were split screen Derren's reputation would go out the window.

Why though?

It's got everyone talking about it. And people coming up with some crazy theories.

...yes... Because they expect him to 'play by the rules'...

If it becomes clear he's willing to break this unwritten rule, then what's to say he doesn't use such methods on any of his routines, thus rendering them a farce...

has anyone checked the official Lottery website for the numbers?

Where the numbers he wrote down and held up behind his balls actually exactly the same?

I have to say that something along these lines strikes me as being the best and most likely explanation, although probably a little more intelligent and subtly done; if this was the case people would have found out and spread it all over the web by now.

I really hope it's not camera trickery - as mentioned, the program would suck tonight. An hour just to determine that!

Either way - I'm looking forward to it!

find it quite amusing that Paul Daniels reckons it's relatively easy to do but if so, why did he never try it and resurrect his career a bit?? :D

If he could predict them (for real) he'd either be dead or banned from playing.

Dead from the gangs out to kidnap him for the method.
Banned by Camelot.

I think the solution is a lot easier than people believe, but I guess we find out today either way
