The forums say it was release officially on 15th.

Somoene has hosted the patch on rapid share and from the looks of it the size is around 300mb. The devs have said updating it this way won't work however and you have to use Windows Live which is running at less than 20kb/s...

Sound seems to be working ok now I have uninstalled the demo. I don't know if that was the problem or just restarting the game has fixed it.

I can now play the game without any problems.

I can't enable PhysX from the GFX settings in the Launcher. I have downloaded the latest Nvidia drivers and will install tomorrow and report back.

Yeah thats the patch it tries to install when you load the game. First patch it downloads is to update live itself, then it finds a patch for the game. I've managed to leave it for ages and it downloaded and started the installer. Copies the patch to a temp folder so I copied it off to another location to save having to go through that again!!

The patch is 280mb for those that come to install the game so be patient. It doesnt tell you how big it is when it says its found a patch and it doesnt show the current progress either so you are left staring at the screen! Hope this info helps others who are wondering what is going on if they have a crap connection like me.
 
Well I can't install the patch.

I sign into GFWL and it sits there for 15 minutes or so doing nothing. The game quits and tells me that Batman Arkham Asylum could not be found or is not installed and the update could not be applied.

Don't you just love being a paying customer and getting screwed over.
 
I'm on a 20meg connection and it doesn't download the patch, doesn't really matter to be honest as I just play it offline. Using the spec in my sig the game runs flawlessly without the patch anyway.

officially the game is not out yet!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
It seems you have to uninstall and then reinstall the game.

Basically because I recieved mine on the 15th and installed it, it still was before the official US release and so GFWL thinks I have a copied version of the game and won't update.

Which is weird, since it accepted my CD key.

The PhysX options now appear in the Launcher settings.

It did take about 30 minutes to download and install the patch with a 10MB connection.
 
Well, just received the game on STEAM and downloading now. 8GB.

Is downloading at a whopping 5.5MB/s - EDIT: 5.7MB/s

Godamnit, I would have left my PC & Steam on this morning before going to work if I'd have known lol. Guess it'll have to be an overnight job tonight, ¬_¬ stoopid VM fair usage policy.
 
I have been getting better speeds recently through steams have they upgraded their servers? Getting a nice 2.3Mb/s sometimes :D
 
I was quite surprised to find out the cut-scenes aren't rendered in game. They looked like they were!

Also if anyone works out how to extract the audio from the upk files please let me know, I'm desperate for some Joker sound bytes.

I preordered it too and it has arrived today and have had no codes.

managed to install it and download the patch but had a crc error on one of the files, is this because im trying to play a day early???

just reinstalling it now to see if it was just a bad download or something...

*edit* patch went through ok the second time round :D
