Nah, people on here will only "support" him when he wins. Bet they've all gone back to sucking Hamilton off again now.

I have always supported the Brits, same with DC last year, and Damon and Eddie Irvine way back. (Irish I know but still) Heck I started watching back in the days of Mansell.

I've said it before, since he left F1, Mika has developed a personality, just watch him teaching James May how to drive rally cars, and you'll be amazed.

Erm OK? Not sure Bernie will be happy with this. Not even going to show the press conference.

Not much choice when you have a long race that goes on longer due to safety car. It will all be on red button, which my Virgin box is deciding to withold today, so I will miss it all. Never mind!

Anyway, the race & stuff:

Tamara Ecclestone - as Kate said, "How did Bernie manage to produce a girl who looks like that!?"
Loved her response to Brundle's question: "I've been in the gym!"... she may as well have said "lol" afterwards. Seems like a nice enough girl anyway.

Flawless race from Hamilton. I did wince when he tore off the jack on that second stop when it clearly wasn't fully down but other than that I didn't see him put a wheel wrong. Interesting skip out of park fermé :D
Is he still banging that Pussycat Doll?

Glock kept out of trouble and reaped the rewards, Alonso too (other than his scuffles at the start)

Rosberg must be kicking himself. What looked like a driver error (rather than deliberately driving over the line) and then the safety car totally shafted him. Did Williams have time to bring him in before the SC? They really should have seen that accident and brought him STRAIGHT in and he'd have been on the podium.

Good recovery from team Brawn even if it did look wobbly at the end. Unusual to get a mid-race conference with Ross too!
I like the way he came on the radio to Button and said "THIS IS ROSS" before giving some "advice" - I wonder if that is their keyword for team orders (which don't exist of course)
Lol @ Rubens response to Jock Clear's comments about both cars brake problems "CAN I CATCH HIM!?"

Pretty poor weekend for Red Bull and Toro Rosso. Vettel gave that thing a lot of abuse, surprised it held out for the whole race. Hilarious when both Toro Rossos came in to retire, I initially thought they had badly coordinated a pitstop and retirement at the same time.

Bet Heidfeld was not amused at having his rear wheel chopped off by Sutil :D That could have been so much nastier.

Overall - good start to middle, then became quite dull before livening up a bit at the end.

You can't argue with the spectacle of a night race though - I'd love to see more.

He (imo) was one of the more likeable drivers from the mid-late 90's, always so laid-back, happy to talk to anyone, and was game for a laugh all the time.
and Eddie Irvine way back. (Irish I know but still)

He was awesome :)

Actually he was Northern Irish, so he's from the UK.. that's close enough :p

Tbh ive never really supported Button, i like him as he seems a nice enough bloke but hes just been awfully lucky this season in that his car at the start of the season was the best one...the last few races have shown that the rest of the field have caught up somewhat especially Mclaren.

Tamara Ecclestone is a hottie though...she'd get it in the rear:p:D

That's hardly his fault! I wouldn't begrudge Button winning the title in the slightest but it's not Brawn's fault that the rest of the pack were slow to start and took 8-9 races to catch up :p

Keep up with the Button hating, he will win he championship (this year, or another) and then stand there making people eat their words.

The bloke is quite clearly getting the job done. Wether he wins by 50 points, or 1, it makes no difference. Anyone who wins a championship is deserving of it. I hate this idea of people trying to belittle someone elses achievments.

I would love for either Barrichello, or Button to win. Both drivers have had some rough times, and it would be great to see them triumph.

Barrichello is almost certainly going to Williams, so could have a decent chance of threatening again. Button will be partnering Rosberg at Brawn so should continue to challenge.

I didnt say it was his fault did i??...i just dont support him, id rather Hamilton win the title as ive liked him from day one...nothing u or anyone can say that will change my mind about Button but i dont hate the dude...far from it and if he wins it...fingers crossed Barrichello wins instead then ill offer my congrats to him.

Buttons driving style enabled him to make the best of a bad race as he outclassed his team mate and rose to the oppertunities when they arose.

It's interesting to see the Brawns so close to each other. It's a testament to the Brawn team that two opposing driving styles can be so competative in the same car.

That said, what a **** race. I wasn't even going to watch it but I'm glad I did. Great race from Lewis and Timo, Rosberg would have kept things interesting up front if it wasn't for that penalty. Oh well, lets hope they sac this novelty race off sooner rather than later.

No, but you said he was lucky to have the best car at the start of the season, he's not suddenly going to get out and decide "we're winning.. that's not fair on everyone else", it's part of racing, get over it :p

Just face it - Rubens hasnt driven over the season as well as his team mate, its as simple as that, look at today for one of many examples where Barrichello got out raced (not to mention the handful of points Rubens lucked into in Aus, and in Valencia)

Thats even without considering the fact that Brawn have changed their brakes to benefit Rubens to the detriment of Jenson

edit - I feel for Rosberg, he was having an outstanding race until going over the white line, and while he didnt benefit he had to be penalised
