Chip in my windscreen was annoying. Call windscreen people, who say no problem, we can replace it, we'll order the screen!

They turn up today, remove my old screen (Cracking it in the process) then the guy says ooops, I've got the wrong screen. Never mind, I'll come back tommorrow with the right one as we've got to order it in for you.

And off he goes, leaving me with a car with no windscreen

Ahh well, use it as an excuse to use the Z4 and garage the 5 till tomorrow?

I've had 2 windscreens replaced in the past and both times they turned up with the wrong screen, but at least they checked it BEFORE taking the old one out, what an absolute numpty.

have you not got a crash helmet you can borrow from someone ?, would get you on road lol

edit: not sure how even dual zone climate would cope with that though

Lol fail. I've had them bring the wrong screen a few times, but as said earlier in the thread, at least they double checked before proceeding to ruin my current screen.

He was very lucky, I took the Z4 out of the garage and put the 5 in there. He's lucky because the roof motor on the Z4 is broken and until the dealer manually put it up for us whilst we wait for to go in to be fixed it was stuck down and therefore wouldnt have been leaving the garage.

He did offer to drive to his depot to keep 'dry'.

Yea handy, as its currently raining. Good skillz.

Yea. It was the right screen but had the wrong rain sensor connection or something.
