lulwut windscreen fail

Just make sure they don't go overboard with the black resin sealant stuff as it can ooze out and looks nasty on the inside you'd think these people would know how much to use

Give a monkey some peanuts and he'll feed himself for a day.
Give a monkey a job as a windscreen fitter and he'll feed OcUK with humour for weeks to come. ;)

INFACT YES.

Super anal would be having a microfibre brush that can reach such areas with windscreen there in the first place!

Thankfully I'm not that super anal yet, just mildly anal :)

I've got a little brush that I use to clean inside my air vents - where do I rank on the scale of analosity?

I've used an air duster to clean out corners of the dash, headunit, etc which is handy.

Thats word for word what James May said on Top Gear about 3 years ago.

DENIED.

Is it?

The sad thing is, its actually true - I'll find it and take a picture if you like :)

It wasn't purchased for the purpose, someone thought a keyboard cleaning brush would be a nice secret santa gift, so I put it to better use. My airvents are immaculate.

Bad luck Fox. Although I can't help but think it couldn't have happened to a better person. :p

Also make sure they don't crack the plastic lining down the side of the A-pillars when the ridiculous amount of resin they put in there finds it has no other way out. The pillocks at Autoglass did that to my old Volvo and then sait it was my fault because the plastic was 16 years old and thus had gone brittle.

If you knew it was brittle then be more bloody careful with it FFS!

Also, driving with no windscreen, I wouldn't recommend it. Isn't the windscreen actually structural on most modern cars, meaning they'll crumple differently in the event of a crash.

I have had a few screens replaced over the years and I would say 3 or 4 times the screen they 'had in' was the wrong one, which is why I always get them to check it against the one that's in before they start work.

ALWAYS REMEMBER, ALL PEOPLE ARE IDIOTS, EVEN MORE SO WHEN THEY HAVE A VAN!!!!

Post a picture of a loaf of bread half way through where the windscreen should be, just to prove it's your car and it in fact doesn't have a windscreen.
