That thing is carp and doesnt work properly - its inaccurate and laggy, and the games arent designed around it, which thankfully is a good thing.

Generally PC gamers dont really care for games like that

but you can also say when was the last time consoles had games like the Total War series, Dawn of War series, Company of Heroes, Starcraft 2 & Diablo 3 etc etc.... :rolleyes:

Ah bless, look at the console fanboys coming on here HAVING to defend their beloved consoles. You have to look at facts, consoles are easier to set up (which you could argue means people with less intelligence play on them, but lets not go down that road ;)) and play arcade games better (sports games and fighters such as the Tekken series), PC's play the indie games better as well as rts and first person shooters... Both have their places.

The thing this thread is talking about is some idiot who thinks a PS3 is more powerful than a high end PC... :rolleyes:
 
Link here is another plus point to pc gaming :D

If we have a problem with how l4d2/css plays we can simply tell him the issue we have and hopefully persuade him to change the way the servers run/game is modded :D

knowing your server admin = win :)

lol thats an insult to console gamers....that thing is not real mouse movement its actually joypad movement that the mouse mimics.
you're moving the mouse but its still only as accurate(and fast) as a joypad can be....not a mouse.

just look at how jerky the movement is...there is something better out there to help use a mouse for fps games on consoles but its a similar method as to what that is doing....so still isnt even close.

Does that dude really believe that his sub-720p, sub-30 fps experiences are the best that money can buy? Heh, Jesus wept.
 
Why people want to defend a £250 purchase so vehemently is beyond me, my 8800 gts 512 cost around that two years ago to the day almost.. I'm not in graphics trying to pretend to people its the most up to date thing. Cause it's not..

(coincidently my 8800 512 beats the crap out of my PS3 for quality and speed, I don't even have supermodern hardware in my PC)

At one point i had all 3 as well, 360- was ok for a while, wii was a good laugh for wii sports, ps3 was....well..good for bluray really. Got to a point though all 3 just sat there so they got flogged off.

Someone said consoles can't use a mouse/keyboard combination, the video proves that they can, albeit not to the same standard as a pc does it seems.

Most people who "game" probably own one, two or even three different consoles and a pc, i know i do and know plenty of others who do too, most play games on their favourite console, probably because of a number of different reasons.
The pick up and play factor (although in actual fact it's probably just as easy to "pick up and play" on a pc, if you think about the actual process of playing a game).
The huge marketing machine and with that the competition between console platforms has had a massive bearing, walk into any games shop including the large supermarkets, where are the pc games ? where is the tv advertising ? non-existent, i know you'll say "yes but i can download my pc games", does that average joe know that ?
Nowadays, when people think of video games, they think console not pc, which is a damn shame because for the majority of us *ahem* more mature gamers that's where it all started.
I can't remember the last time i played a game on my pc and i feel ashamed !! not only that, i've been guilty of using the Q6600 just to get email and browse forums - I'm gonna install steam and get back to pc gaming !! (i'm still gonna use the 360 though :p)
 
when have consoles had a decent RTS oh thats right they can't due to the controls, endwar don't count ;p

I ve never known consoles to have a decent flight sim, part from IL2 for PS3 what ever that is, or is that like ace combat, and hawx and stuff.


also i know a few games that are BEST on PC (and sometimes its baby counterpart 360) that happens to be fallout 3

Ah, you seem to be under the illusion that your opinion equals fact!

It's your opinion that GRID is the only decent PC driving game, it is however, not fact.

There are plenty of good racing games on PC, in my opinion.

Need for speed games are better on the PC than they are on the consoles, in my opinion.

For this this reason, I will be getting a nice Logitech G27 Steering wheel when funds permit.
