Ps3 is faster than any pc...

ps3 = under 250 quid.

id like to see a pc match that in power and festures for the same price inc bluray drive.

not gonna happen.

too many pc fanbois on here but then again this is a pc forum.

£ for £ ps3 or even xbox offer far more that what a pc can £ for £. these days even consoles can be used for internet, video playback, music playback and video encoding etc etc.

but console will never score a true victory over the pc until they get the keyboard and mouse support!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I stopped upgrading my PC the day I got my PS3 and even more so my 360.

Yes a low-mid range PC (£350-£500) will be faster and more powerful than a console but what use is a powerful PC when PC gamers gets rubbish games/ports :p
When was the last time PC had games like GOW2, Forza 3, Tekken 6, Uncharted 2, MGS4 etc etc.

And if you do get a good game (MW2) all you get is a crappy port. :D

Heck even a game like FIFA10 is lightyears ahead on a console compared to PC.

Game developers priorities are consoles so who cares if you have the worlds fastest PC, all the good games are on console. ;)

Are you serious? Gaming aside, you can't honestly compare a PC or a Mac to a console in terms of functionality... I mean, come on?

I could buy a computer for < £50 which would do a million and one things that a console couldn't.

Sony-owned studio in power claim shocker! Lucasarts made a similar claim with Force Unleashed and look what happened :)

I agree its easily the best looking game on console right now and thats down to it being developed around a closed system. Its more the games attention to detail that makes it stand out rather than the PS3's capability as the PS3's hardware is rather outdated. I doubt it would take 'the best pc' to pull it off. Just look at the Crysis engine running on a current high end system - no contest whatsoever.

graphics look good and it runs pretty smooth ...whats wrong with the port ?
apart from lack of dedicated servers the game looks ok.


lots of people own ps3 xbox and pc and just choose to play on pc because of the customisation we can do.
we can CHOOSE which control method to use...with mouse and keyboard being far far superior method of control...playing against someone using a joypad just humiliates them.
we can CHOOSE which servers to play on.
we can CHOOSE which maps to play.
we can CHOOSE which mods to use.

you are not forced to play rts games with a joypad.....its just silly. your concentration should be on tactics and NOT how to group those tanks minus that 1 soldier together so they can defend your base.

i agree with some of the better games being console exclusive....well the consoles wouldnt sell as good if the same games came out on all platforms with just as much attention paid to pc versions.
but look at forza for example....pretty good game yeah ?
how about you try using that expensive steering wheel you bought last xmas on it .....nope they have already decided your control method for you.
come on time to dish out and buy their chosen method of control.....how about you go online.....erm time to fork out again.

oh wait lets release some dl content...usually free on pc but hey we have the console users by the balls so lets squeeze some money out of them.

if you like someone to have you by the balls then buy a console.

Ah bless, all PC fanboys these days can do to defend the PC gaming industry is Crysis this, Crysis that.

Yes Crysis is the most graphically advanced game out there but the game wasn't even that good. :confused:
When was the last time you heard a console gamer say they wished they had a £1000 PC so they could play Crysis...?

I hear XBOX players wishing they could play uncharted 2 and PS3 players wishing they could play GOW2 but never Crysis.

Defend your beloved PC all you like but the fact is, all the good games are on consoles.

And yes I do have a gaming PC but I don't use it to game anymore, nothing to play :p

PCs will always have the upper hand over consoles because of their adaptation I think the word is, the owner can upgrade it over time making it better and better, consles what can you do with them, buy it more memory to store games on? i heard you can over clock them, I don't belive it so and even if you could (for the god sack don't)

granted PC games generally are taken from console with the console in mind, thats why they are poor :P and yes both PS3 and 360 has games only for them optimised for them, thier selling point, yes those games are pretty good.

IF there ever is a time were, PC gamers and console gamers can play online at the same time, all the console owners will do is bitch at PC boy cos hes got a better aim, can see more have more control, and see things a lot faster than them.

Well the thread is titled "PS3 is faster than any PC". I was discussing the Crysis engine from a technical point of view. Whether the game was any good or not is irrelevant.....but....If your talking quality of games themselves then the Uncharted series and the upcoming GoW3 are probably the only two games on the PS3 platform that interest me. All the other decent games are multiplatform and I already own a half-decent PC & 360.

Or it could be DiRT but guess what, both GRID and DiRT are console ports haha :D

There just aren't any games for the PC anymore unless they are RTS or MMORPGs.

Face it, what good games (that are better than console version) came out to PC this year that isn't a RTS or MMORPG?

I'll start of a list for Console gaming > PC gaming

- Killzone 2
- FIFA 10
- Forza 3
- Final Fantasy XIII
- Assassins Creed 2 (PC Gamers will have to wait months lol)
- Halo 3: ODST
- Uncharted 2
- inFamous
- Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City

try getting them for the PC :D
