It wouldn't be the looks that would bother me, it's the over the shoulder watchers that do. I'm sure everyone who commutes is familiar with people trying to read the newspaper that someone else is reading.

I've always found that if I'm watching a video on my iPhone on the train, that quite often if there are people sat or stood nearby with nothing to look at themselves, that they will be watching your screen. I often try and angle it so that they can't see it, but that's not always possible.

So given a device as big as the iPad, you are going to have loads of people trying to get a look in at what you are watching.

It's a modified version of the iPhone OS, completely locked down like the iPhone.

Thanks, I'm aware of that fact.

It's only available on the 3G + WiFi model because it uses the cell phone towers to quickly locate the position, hence 'better' than normal GPS.

Its an iPhone thats to big to fit in your pocket.

Its the size of a laptop but not as powerfull as most netbooks.

Its..... a niche product for a niche market that doesnt exist...

An no point in using my laptop do I ever think "I really wish this was less powerfull and more restrictive", and at not point using my smart phone do I ever think "hmm, I wish this was to big to fit in my pocket..."

But, I bet it sells like hot cakes!

I dont get comments by some people that are floating round the net... "I have X, Y and Z, this is no way going to fit into my lifestyle" If thats the case DONT BUY IT.....

Every product has a market, for those with the iPhone and a MacBook Pro then you prob wont pick this up but for those of us with iMacs or a Mac Pro, then having a small handheld device to quickly browse the net whilst infront of the TV is a massive plus rather than being sat at a desk.....

If you cant find a use for it, then it isn't for you....

ahahahaha no. apple doesn't do ordinary bluetooth. bluetooth on mobile apple devices is severely crippled!

i love the way Steve was bigging up the way that you can set custom backgrounds behind the homescreen, like you can only do on an iPhone if it's jailbroken... or any other mobile smartdevice in the past eight years :rolleyes:

Corse theres a market for it. I sit on the sofa at home with a laptop (don't have a desk). I can't lie down with it or rest it on a cushion, I don't type long messages (something like this post would be the longest thing I would type), I mainly just look at websites, listen to iTunes and read mail. my iPhone's screen is too small, an iPad is perfect.

I'm on a flight - same thing iPhone too small, laptop too big.

In a coffee shop doing a bit of web browsing and emailing, perfect.

Also I can see a lot of people using one of solely as a games device instead of a DS or PSP. I can imagine that the touch/ motion sensor will be able to make some pretty cool games like are already on the iPhone.
