20-24k ish I would have thought. What are you on now roughly?
£16,500
Yeah, I'd say you are under paid. Push for £20k, but accept £18.5k.£16,500

Depending on your age, experience, time at job and size of company.
Well it sounds like your line manager agrees with us.I'm 21, been with the company almost 2 years now - didn't get a pay-rise last year due to recession. First IT job i had outside of college and the company is quite big.

I'd compile a list of references (job ads, average sites) - but only include those that put the salary >£20k. Then you ask for £20k - an apparent bargain.
Personally I'd ask for £20k and accept £18.5 as I said. But it's still not a great wage.Already working on it![]()
Referenced the IT Jobs Watch site and going to look around for jobs that pay AT LEAST 18k.
I'd be happy with 19k, but of course the more the better
Thanks.

Another thing is, I hope you're not paying for all the travel you have to do out of your own pocket.
Then go fight.Nope, i get expenses for the travel![]()

Hopefully we wont find a "spec me a new job" thread tomorrow![]()
For example my role (IT PM) pays anything from 35k (which is a farce)
Think i might change job... Could do 1st line IT support in my sleep. Its paying over 5k more than what im doing and my role is a far sight more important :S
