Metro: 2033, trailer

The game looks great :)
I will wait for a few more reviews before deciding whether to purchase it or not :)

Don't get me wrong it's a great tool and I think it's the way forward but I just wish there was a way for me to sell my retail games that I was forced into activating via Steam.

If people didn't resell perhaps the prices would come down, I never resell I just research my purchases.

Fallout 3 had utterly dreadful shooting and vats was crap too, that got a load of good reviews though.

The shooting in this looks nowhere near as bad, better than Stalker too. I think what they are getting at is that it's not as fluid when played as a run and gun game but works well at a slower pace. (similar to Stalker I guess)
 
Which never did valve any harm with their half life games. Lets hope this is a goodun. Need a good shooter to tie me over til crysis 2.
 
I'm a bit confuzzled... how was I able to purchase/preorder this a few weeks ago and yet today when my mate wants to purchase it the option is no long available on steam?

As far as I can tell from google, steam forums and other interweb places it is because the release date is today for USA and some other places in europe but not the UK so it is not availble to pre-order anymore nor purchase becuase it's not officially released until this Friday, in the UK that is.

it's cheaper in stores anyway. from what I could tell it was available on EU steam the other day, but not UK....
