So... how much fish oil to take?

ASDA sell 'MEGA OMEGA' which is 550mg Omega 3 with 450mg EPA/DHA per capsule. Anyone use anything similar?

Always take supps after food certainly vitamins and fish oils else they're not going to be as effective and you're wasting your money. :)

my doms often feel like bruising as effectively it's close to what it is. It's trauma to your tissue effectively!

Time to tighten up the diet. Have been enjoying myself since coming off the cut and seeing in 4000 calories a day :D:) Hungry! Literally been banging food in for the sake of it!

I'm wondering how much fat is too much? Coming from nuts, olive oil, milk, butter, eggs & other 'clean' sources. Aiming from around 100-110g per day. Too much? Nuts seeming to pump the fat macro quite significantly!

Macro's at the moment are roughly... 36/30/34 - Fats/Carbs/Protein - 130g/250g/270g.

Room for tweaking. Can drop a few more slices of bread or oats to get carbs lower. Fat can also be lowered with less butter/olive oil. As can protein with less eggs/whey. Currently on a double scoop PWO which probaly isn't necesary. Around 3400 , mostly 'clean', calories per day. Can be tweaked 2-300 calories either way as need be.

Oh lord, just went go check on how much whey protein I have left for after my workout and there's nothing!

I can't believe a single bag from Myprotein lasted me since November 09.

How is it some people can go through a 2.5KG bag in about a month?

Must take loads of them. I have to admit though, it's funny seeing guys in the gym, drink whey dyring a workout, and then again after it.

Specially when they talk about how it gives them gains. I guess it must be fat, since most of them don't seem to increase in strength.

Oh well, time for Legs, and I need to try sort out a camera for deadlifting challange :D

2.27KG gets you 90 scoops worth. So depends how many you have per day. We can all do the math ;)

I hit about 150g of fat a day, so 100g seems quite alright. I like to get around 40% of my calories from fat, it makes eating through the day much easier, and as i expect you know raises me test up, so win win really.

Just back from a back/bis session and I was keeping to strict 60s intervals (Using my watch now to tighten up the timing :p) Sweet jesus the forearm pump was insane :o. Think I'll bring my watch in for 60s intervals more often :p.

Kool :)

I didn't know fat raises test levels?

Try opposing supersets with 90s rest intervals. With 4 second negatives. For 10 sets = GVT :p

Cant exactly remember if it was fat as a whole but im fairly sure I remember reading people on a high fat diet produce more? Maybe it was just saturated fats, or maybe ive just gone mad :D

Either way, it makes eating a lot easier and keeps you full for ages.

All the bars were busy so settled for dumbells today.

50kg in each hand for 3 reps  finally

Hero!

I want to play with those dumbbells!

In the mean time, I wish my gym and house had a Stair Master. It's extremely hard going up and down stairs after a leg session :(

Woot!

Did a PB on bench press today, 95KG for 4 clean reps and 2 assisted, well chuffed. :)

100KG here I come!

I remember my first tumble with the 50's. A good year ago and I was considerably smaller than I am now. More effort laying back on the bench with the buggers than pressing them!

Good going!

If you can rep 95KG for 4 you've got 100KG in you. Bang it on the bar and press it! stop faffing about!! :p;)

I have a different problem with them at the moment when shrugging. I find my grip gives in before anything else :(
I have tried using straps but don't like the awkwardness of them and the faffing about involved. I know I could always use a bar but for some reason prefer the dumbells. A mate of mine has suggested gorrila pads/grips: anybody ever used them?

Don't really use dumbells for chest but it felt pretty good. Maybe I'll alternate or something. Next time I won't waste as much time on the smaller weights

I prefer the bar I think. Would love to get 3 plates a side by the end of the year but I dont think it will happen. I'll max just before I go to Canada to see how far off I am.
