There's no such thing as worry free motoring. Especially with a car with a history of melting pistons.

What do you normally get with new cars ? Some have 2 years, some ( Inc Vauxhalls ) have 3, some even have 7...

Well yeah, if it's new I'd take it back to Vauxhall, hand the keys to the service receptionist and say "fix it please"

The Corsa Arctic is a VXR right? Not the same as the Vectra Arctic which was barely a step up from the base model.

I've got a mate who was on his third engine in his VXR. Saying that, he did blow up the engine in his Scooby as well.

I have a vague recollection of a thread posted in Motors many months ago now, which related to a chap who was obsessed with detailing his Astra. Wasn't that a VXR?

paradigm, a lot of your posts appear .. rude at best. And "hate filled" is possibly the most appropriate term i can use to describe how they come across. I've commented on it before, but your surpassing ever fox levels or rudeness. I'd say fox has calmed down quite a bit, but you've gone the other way

Could he not have survived with about 40bhp less and gone for the SRi model...still using the 1.6t and saved around 6 grand
