What do you normally get with new cars ? Some have 2 years, some ( Inc Vauxhalls ) have 3, some even have 7...
There's no such thing as worry free motoring. Especially with a car with a history of melting pistons.
my mate has a 58 corsa arctic
I've got a mate who was on his third engine in his VXR. Saying that, he did blow up the engine in his Scooby as well.
A pattern is emerging.
I have a vague recollection of a thread posted in Motors many months ago now, which related to a chap who was obsessed with detailing his Astra. Wasn't that a VXR?
Well yeah, if it's new I'd take it back to Vauxhall, hand the keys to the service receptionist and say "fix it please"But that's not "worry"-free, you're right

Crikey, what the hell is wrong with you? Jeez pretty much every post I see of yours is fired with anger and bitterness, you are 27 not 67! Also who are you to look down on people? What are your aspirations or ambitions? Were they to drive an old high millage diesel BMW at 27?
The guy may have a Corsa and could have chosen better cars but end of the day, id much rather be happy and drive a Corsa than be a grumpy **** and drive a BMW.
Bet he loved the paint on the RS.
27 years old and wants a Corsa?
I don't care if its rocket powered and gives you fellatio everytime you drive it. 27 years old and wanting a Corsa is pathetic. Does he have no ambition, no aspirations, no desire to further himself?
Could he not have survived with about 40bhp less and gone for the SRi model...still using the 1.6t and saved around 6 grand
