Thorney Motorsport

did john ever take him to court ?

Of course not, it's all bluster, you will no doubt get the "everyone hates me" line and "there's two sides to every story" line being trotted out. But it's a familiar story, just a different forum, different group of owners.

If you fancy a laugh read the "independant" fuel test which saw them rave about Tesco 99 RON fuel, only to be sponsored by Tesco 99 RON to the hilt.

Jeez, that's poor. Didn't someone (Princey or Pricey or similar?) have major issues with a VXR there as well?

Yep that was me. All sorted now after about 3 visits.

Interesting thread on PureGT today about this - I think you will need membership to view.

He seems to issue proceedings against a lot of people.

Or at least threaten to.

If he concentrated on running his business instead of being an apparent crook then maybe she wouldn't get this. There are hundreds of aftermarket tuners who don't have this problem.

EDIT: Erroneous typo but is fitting so shall remain.

So what do we take away from this? Is Thorney to be completely avoided, or are they in the position of many tuners who simply offer a service and from time to time have really bad luck with the odd unfortunate customer?

Actually, after reading a bit more about them on the intarweb I think you'd be pretty wise to avoid them. There's a lot that I've read that I don't like.

Am I going to be sued now?

I obviously didn't post this to get OCUK in trouble, and i'm sorry if it has caused any grief :(

Just thought it was a good discussion point and was worth bringing to people's attention.
