I haven't heard anything. Was listening to music this morning on the way into work and was waiting for it after reading your post.

what player do you use(the htc one or downloaded from the Android market)? I'm using mort player but seem to remember hearing the noise in the htc one.

with the weather app, where does it think you are(i.e. your actual location or like 4-5miles away? when I'm at home mine seems to think I' in burghfield common, but that's like 4-5miles away. I haven't tried it in town since getting the phone, but when I was in bristol town center it seemed to work, so my theory is that it works in main cities/towns but not in small places.

I use the default music app.

The weather thinks I'm in Mapledurham when I'm at home which is the other side of the river from me. About 4/5 miles straight line. It works fine in town and other places, just seems to be off if you're not in the middle of Reading.

meh, can someone clarify this as I'm a little confused.

Requested my PAC code from Vodafone yesterday, will be emailed to me within 24 hours.

Going to order the T-Mobile deal via MPD in the next couple of days.

When my number gets switched over, I will get charged first month from T-Mobile, but I'm also getting charged my last payment from Vodafone on 20th April.

So when should I take the new contract out and PAC over to T-Mobile?

The weather app uses a combination of information from what cell you are connected to and what ip address information you are getting from Wifi as far as I know. So expect some variances in accuracy.

I not worried about it, I just find it funny that it picks up my location fine everywhere except when I'm at home. When I'm at home it thinks I'm in the middle of a golf course.

It works off of cell triangulation so cities etc are better match as there are more cells closer together. I live in a village and it places me about 1.5 - 2 miles away depending on what 1 of 2
cell sites I am logged onto...

Does anyone know if the HTC Desire on Orange via Dial a phone is none branded?

Their offer is really good, but I can't speak to anyone via their contact number.

Most of their options are automated but if you pick the sale/delivery option you should get through to someone straight away.

Would like to know this as well, as when I had the Hero I couldn't do it, which was a pain in the arse, I had to create groups which was stupid.

Stock app doesn't appear to let you do it but Handcent app will... Better messaging app anyways so you may as well get it

What are MPD (Mobilephonesdirect) like in terms of reliabilty and service? They have a really good deal, but I have heard some negative reviews. I know that there are quite a few on here that have ordered from them, so what is the general consensus?

That's a question that comes up time and time again, no one has an answer as it looks like it's not possible.

How did you mark each one at a time?

Use Handcent SMS. That is one of the major points I like about Android. If a stock app doesn't do what you want, go to the Market and get one that does.
