Interested to know what the battery life is like for this device?

I'm very tempted to upgrade from my awful BB storm, but I don't want to move from one flat battery nightmare to another.

(soz if this is covered in an earlier post. I only scanned the previous 74 pages :o )

I've been having a read and it looks like the phone comes with Flash Lite with Flash 10.1 slated for release at a later date? Can the flash lite be disabled because all that is useful for (in my opinion) is displaying adverts in that case!

Ahhh ok didnt know that it had a version of Flash albeit the light version...as for disabling it??...i havent seen anything within the settings to enable or disable flash etc

Well tbh i get about a days use out of my Desire which tbh isnt really good but then i spend most of my time playing a few games i have on it...but usually i charge it over night and by days end im at around 20% left.

The one thing i dont really like is the battery gets pretty hot when using it pretty hard...must be that 1ghz cpu...sadly HTC still havent got the battery life quite right.

So two questions for owners:

1. Can you disable flash for when you are on 3G and don't want to use up bandwidth on adverts

2. Can the flash handle flash game websites and embedded flash films on review sites, etc?

Flash can be disabled - open the web browser - go to More - then settings - then untick load flash.

I have 3 Questions!

What is Vodafone's 3G connection like in General? I am coming from an iPhone on O2 is their speeds around the same as O2?

Does anyone know if the Vodafone website has the Phones in stock atm? And also anyone know if the in store deals are the same as the online ones?

Probably better ie 3G connection wise...no idea if they have any phones in stock although reading past posts indicate that they wont have them in stock till next week and even then those are probably allocated to back orders.

Again i would imagine both instore and online deals are about the same...worth ringing them up to see if they will better any of those deals in store or online.

The guy on the phone earlier said they'd be getting stock at the end of this week at the very earliest, realistically your looking at 7-10days I think.

AFAIK the best Voda deals are through the VodafoneUKDeals twitter feed, don't think you can get them elsewhere.

God damn, I can't wait much longer for this! I had a phone call from Vodafone today asking me if I had actually placed an order because their website was having issues when I ordered it or something lol. I've been getting emails with updates all the time so assumed all was fine.

Forgot to ask about estimated delivery though :(

Just spoke to Vodafone this morning and still no update on Desire stock! :(

I was hoping it would be today as he said to me that they were expecting stock on Thursday, oh well!

Stuck on my BlackBerry for now with my new plan but can't use the internet or push email, facebook, twitter, bbm and msn god damn life sucks right now! :D

Going to get this from CPW later today...have a quick question. I'm going to stick my existing O2 sim in it. I can buy a PAYG Orange phone for £410, or buy it sim free for £450. Is there any good reason for me to buy the sim free version? From what I've read CPW are selling it unlocked anyway, so what's the difference?
(Obviously the most sensible thing to do would be to buy it sim free online for even cheaper, but I'm stupid like that)

I've been in there as they advertise it as £399 on payg. Turns out to be a lie as I went into a couple of stores. They told me "Oh yeah, we're advertising it as £399 and yes you can see the poster here about it, but our systems haven't updated to reflect that price so we can't sell it to you at that price. You can have a sim-free version for £450 instead?".

I asked when the £399 price would take effect but they didn't know. Absolute con artists advertising a product and having labels up for it but not actually selling them at that price! They are keeping it at £450 because they know demand is high and just ignoring their own prices that were there on labels beneath the phones! I'm going to buy online if I want one.

The Orange phone is branded as far as I can see with the orange logo on the back and orange icons, etc.

I would have pointed out to them that either they sell the phone at that price to me as advertised or take the posters down...if they didnt then i would have raised a bit of hell and found out why they advertise it at that price but wont sell it.

If not, complain to the ASA.

Anyone had any news on Voda's stock?
