Which do you have Richie?

Ok, sim cards been activated now and I'm a bit more impressed, as for flash coming at the end of the year, great, that'll give me 4 months useage before I upgrade :(

I'm loving the google navigation with text-speech though, just tested it coming back from my sister in laws house, absolutely flawless.

wifey just got the desire. Its great. so great that after 10mins i am done, there is nothing to tweak, nothing to change, nothing to hack / kill destroy nothing that i need to spend hours on xda developers for. it just works very very well out of the box. what a superb piece of kit.

Good afternoon,

We are contacting you as we have you on a list of people to be called when the HTC Desire becomes available.

At the moment, due to unprecedented demand, we do not have the handset available to send to you, but we will still contact you when we can to arrange the details of your deal so that the handset can be dispatched when it is back in stock.

We do not have a firm date for delivery of further stock of the HTC Desire, but rest assured we’re doing our utmost to complete the deals we’ve agreed.

To help us manage this situation effectively, please do not contact us via any other channel (e.g. Twitter or our hotline number), as we are working though this as best we can and wish to avoid unnecessary duplication of discussions to cut down on the time taken to contact you.

Please do not reply to this email as it has been sent from an unmonitored inbox and will not get a reply.

Kind regards

Vodafone Web Relations Team

Uh-oh.

Just noticed that VodafoneUKDeals are now replying to people with:

"Twitter exclusive deals that you may have seen on blog sites have now expired. We may tweet further ones in the future."

I'm still waiting on my call. :(

I swear a good 70% of the people they are replying to have only signed up to Twitter for this deal.

Judging from your other posts that makes us still valid for these stupidly good deals? Well, I say we, after a week or more (I can't remember tbf) I've still had no ticket number from any of the 3 emails I sent :( :(

Did you message them on twitter too, I skipped that step

The Twitter bit was pretty vital I think. It's a Twitter exclusive deal.

But then, I didn't include my Twitter name in the email so there's no way they could know I contacted them via Twitter yet.

With voda the 500mb internet is per month isnt it? When you go to the checkout it just says 500mb of data it doesnt say monthly or anything else

Well I mentioned twitter in the email, so maybe I can just blag it :p

For those who missed out on the twitter deal or the Phones4U deal, hit up dialaphone, HTC Desire on Orange £21.67 after redemption on an Dolphin 30, 18 month contract 300 mins, unlimited texts and Oranges 500MB internet bundle, sounds good to me, even if I would prefer to be on Vodafone

Ooh!

I originally bought my current O2 contract through Dialaphone.

Thanks for the headsup.

having a slight problem with my desire, keeps saying access blocked when i try visit the market, first time it happend i just removed my battery and sim card and re-inserted it and it worked but this time it wont go back to normal, any suggestions?

My only piont was it's been branded by t-mobile :)

Well yes other than the start up splash screen and the internet icon...theres not much branding there...i havent seen any specific tmobile icons unlike Orange and Vodafone who brand their phones pretty badly...my BB Storm2 was branded pretty bad by Voda but i figured out a way of getting rid of all that voda crap they put on it.

Anyone know if there's any way to not display the contacts the phone has taken from Facebook, apart from deleting them altogether? When I go to the address book thing I get a list of people I can't see I'll ever need to call.
