Still waiting for VodafoneUKfails - its been a week now. The annoying thing is I darn't get the phone elsewhere as I just know they'll ring me and offer some awesome deal if I do.
Whereas if I wait, they might eventually bother to ring, and probably offer a crap deal.
And retentions are refusing to offer deals because the handsets are out of stock.
Close to just going with Orange really.
Just what sort of a business plan is messing all your customers around and offering them bad deals unless you 'tweet' at a 'twitter team' who may or may not call you back?
Are they a multinational company or a bunch of Uni students?

What a joke o2 are becoming... talk about losing the plot. And pushing back the release til mid may??
Very glad I left them for Orange now... better coverage, MUCH cheaper and so far vastly superior customer services!

I noticed on friday it said 28th but doesn't look like it says any expected date now

They had stock in on thursday, no idea if they still have. I wouldn't bother with the redemption deal, you have to post 6 bills back to them at set periods of time, too much hassle for the sake of a couple of quid a month.
Went to my local CPW, they only had 1 handset left and that had the pink tint too BUT they said I could go to another local store after work (closes at 8) and get them to swap the handset for a non pink one, they have 10 in stock as well so I'm going to have them open every box until one has no pink tint as shown in my pic
You have a mail icon on the message you sent to person x which you just long press and view the receipt for.
You also get an optional receipt notification (with optional tone) in the status bar.
Standard Android behaviour.

The o2 tariffs dont inspire me with confidence, I get a 30% discount through my mate, even then its just on par with other offerings.
Well those O2 contracts suck absolute **** and the release date is even more laughable. I did go into O2 shop here, the guys in there said it was delayed because of the volcano - yeah suuuuuure.
The T-Mobile contract I was on in March works out to be over £150 cheaper than any contract offered by O2, a joke tbh
Looks like I'll buy it sim free since I can't wait any longer for it to be on O2, I'm itching lol.... which will cost me even more by the looks of things.

Loving my Phone, the branding on the case isn't too bad for orange I guess.
What is REALLY annoying is the fact that they have put demo games etc on & I can't get rid of them, I really don't want to flash it already. Are Orange trying to annoy their customers or what.
The Phone itself is absolutely great though, my other half thinks I am addicted lol.

Trickle charging yup.
However, I think Gigabyte or someone are developing a feature which will help devices charge faster, can't remember who though.
if the orange logo is on the battery cover and you really dont like it you can buy new back cover

The reason for delay on O2 is because of the Palm Pre.
O2 got an exclusive on the Palm and part of that deal was that they wouldn't sell certain competitive phones until after a particular date.

Just flash it beep with the generic Desire ROM and buy an unbranded back cover. It will then be an unbranded phone but still locked to orange and also the box isn't as nice as the proper HTC box, looks slick sat on my "cool stuff" shelf!

Same here. I've held off ordering as I wanted it tomorrow in a very impatient and impulisive "must buy now" way!Just went halfway thru the order process on dial-a-phone and delivery date has came up as tuesday 4th may
I'll take a little longer to choose now so I suppose it's for the best.

Two offers: 20 quid for the phone, £30 pm, 600 minutes, unlimited texts and net for 18months or the same deal for £25 a month but 70 quid for the phone and 300 minutes.
Pretty crap compared to what they offered everyone else. Seems like a huge anti climax.
