Not on upgrades you dont.

Is that with 3 though?

I spoke to Vodafone and my upgrade over the phone they said I have 7 days to cancel upon recieving the phone.

When I nearly upgraded in store though they said you don't have 7 days.

With Vodafone you have 7 days to return it or swap it if you don't like it. I've done this before with the Nokia 5800 which turned out to be a very badly designed phone.

You are joking right, its 15 quid a month difference, why would she even care

I've been assured that my phone will be despatched tommorrow.

This seems either:

a) A complete lie
b) Unfair on everyone else - I only ordered it today..

I ordered mine last Friday and havent heard anything about dispatch yet.

Had the phone almost 2 weeks now, issues so far:
Messages icon not updating and saying i have x amount of messages in inbox. Deleting and replacing icon sometimes works other times i have to wait until i get another text.

Messages not sending: Sometimes messages won't send and theres just no reason for it, deleteing and writing the same message again and it will send fine.

Twice its gone mad when a message wouldnt send and ive had to restart it as even after deleting the message it says message not sent.

I seem to manage to unlock it when putting it in my pocket sometimes :(

On the plus the battery life im pretty happy with now: Wifi uses a lot but by turning it off and only on when i need it the battery life is greatly improved.

Even with syncing on overnight my phone uses about 1% per every 80 minutes and with syncing off 1% for every 5 hours.

Overall i love the phone!

I also get the annoying ' message failed to send' sometimes it has and sometimes it hant :/ sent gf 6v messages of the same today

excellent thanks, least it wont be eating my internet allowance when im at home with the wifi available :)

Not sure if it effects battery life massively but i always turn WiFi off when i leave the house in the morning and put it back on when i get home. Jumps to WiFi straight away when i turn it on :)

So very tempted to sell my iPhone 3GS and get one of these, I have a few questions though that some might be able to answer hopefully!

With the iPhone when you sync it, you can choose take all contacts from the Windows folder in your user folder, will this work with the Desire? Thanks!

So very close to selling my Hero and picking up one of these now :p

Has anyone done the same, was it worth it?

I have. It's a much bigger, better screen and the device feels much more solid.

Speed loading apps initially isn't that much quicker but speed within them is much better - especially the browser which is much better.

2.1 is a nice update, and the improvements to sense are welcome although these should be coming to the Hero.
