F1 Manager Game

Just hope a sponsor I'm about to sign is at least 300k. I'm -1mill a race, after upgrading tyres, engine and a 330k driver, which someone sacked after first race  Hopefully come good towards end of season as I get more sponsors.
Need a decent chassis know.

Awesome 2 top young drivers for next season.

I'm spending almost that and only on 4th race. 3 races last season and first race of new season this year.

If I don't get back to the front of the grid by the end of the 3rd race I will be bankrupt. Using the winnings to pay for the team.

well the guy in the lead has a much better chassis than you :( whats yer hq, tech department etc at ?

oh and are you using the pit stop calculator ?

yeah he has Jonda chassis. I upgraded engine and tyres and 1 driver after qualifying.
I should be able to get the Jonda chassis after this race, maybe two races. (1 sponsor will deff be this race, one of the other sponsors maybe be this race or the next)

Level 2 everything (no engine factory) and yep using pitstop calc.

is he out qualifying you ? also look at the race report and see what pit stop strategy he used in the last race was it the same as yours ? if not its probable he isn't using a pit stop calculator which means you have an advantage there.

do you have a third test driver ? test driver for testing and free practice can help massively as yer not stressing you're race engine. you don't need a good driver a cheap 30k a race driver will do the job. You're technical department uses the test info in order to set up he car for the race, so make sure you have a full 100 peeps employed there and a decent technical manager also are you developing yer own chassis ? you can improve your own chassis by upgrading components tto be better than those from the supplier you are with at the moment.

by the end of my second season i was using my own chassis as it was better than the toyocar one. but you can mix and match as well so throughout the season i was upgrading one part at a time.

yep developing my own stuff.
he is outqaulyfing me, but upgraded after qaulifying, so will have to wait till next race.
And yep have 3rd driver.

he did a 2 stopper last race and I did a one stopper as per the calc. But then I fell down the grid compared to my qauli. Started 2 and 4th ended up 5th and 7th

Your Quali will almost always be slower than the practice as you qualify with Race fuel. So if your first pit is 30 laps in, and you only do a 10 lap Practice, you're carrying an extra 20 laps of fuel.

My qualifying times are still a second behind my practice times. Memph was almost a second slow than me in praccy but is almost a second faster in qualifying.

Im not sure i fully understand why, yet, but im sure i'll work it out.

hmm going to be trial and error then acid, but if you are developing yer own stuff i would suggest not going witht he jonda chassis, you need to give yourself an edge over yer opponent, so maybe go for better tyres or engine than him instead.

also when developing yer own suff develop i tto the same level i.e

20/20/20/16

on all parts then move up so the best thing to do is look at how much you can upgrade each part by per race then decide on what you want it to be.

then upgrade all 9 car parts to the same level and start again. the reason for this is stability. if you develop one part that is way better than the others it can reduce the stability of the car. the other option you have is to work out what the parts are on the toyo chasis now and improve them all slightly to make the car 100% stable. this would also give you an edge over the jonda chassis as that might only be 75% stable in comparison.

my first advice ont his would be to write down what each of the 9 parts of the toyo chasis are, then add them up. i.e 20/17/14/14 = then when upgrading make them all equal the same that will give a 100% stable chasis.

so if 8 parts - 43 and one is 37, upgrade the part thats 37 to 43 and boom improved stability :)

if you dont get any of that ill try and explain better however im only just grasping it myself lol

im in my 2nd season... and im in league 35... I started to win races 3 races into the 1st season and walked it in the end with a 1 & 2 in the last 7.

Pretty annoyed as if my drivers were 5 seconds slower i would have been lapped 3 times yesterday...

hmm post about it in the bugs section mate, they know theirs a problem with the league re ranking system and there trying to fix i for the next re rank, unfortunately though it means writing off this season for you :(

just use this season for development and dont try and win, save yer money and spend it on upgrades etc :) just realised you dont have an engine supplier, hat might not help to much :p

the gold star facilities are pro account facilities mate in answer to that question. in answer to the sponsor question im no sure you may have to wait for another race before they will offer for that part.

Shouldnt have to, are you sure you have 100% and not 99 or something?
Once a sponsor expires and you have another waiting at 100% it should offer you a deal

Sucks, is it possible to make an engine better than those you can contract with level 2 facility then?

Yes, much better

I have a formula for stability if anyone wants it
