*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

What are the problems people have had with MPD?

I'd really want to get that deal if I am able to cancel my current Vodafone contract.

You'll probably find either DriodLive or Cherry rPlayer will be able to tune into a DI stream.

Got Droidlive (now called Xiialive) working. Woooooo :D
Took me a while to find the channel I wanted, cracking stuff though. No longer have to listen to it with poor quality sound quality through my pc at work :p

SenseUI is very good on the Desire really. You could install helix 2 launcher which is a Nexus one clone with many more added features and 7 home screens though.

By not using Sense you lose the ability to use HTC widgets, worth noting!

Really not bothered with the HTC widgets, there's only so long the novelty of animated weather lasts. I'll give Helix a whirl, thanks :)

Has anyone used "Beepy" in the past? I've just found the following and it sounds too good to be true

HTC Desire Handset only £35.99.
18 month tariff on T-Mobile
Unlimited Internet on your phone - Unlimited Internet booster
100 mins
100 txts
£20.00 per month

Seems OK, people have got a lot better for £5 extra a month i.e. unlimited text, free handset, 300 mins.

Get on the Desire bandwagon of win :)

I love browsing the web at night in bed, the fact that it's so smooth and fast means I often catch up with current affairs on the phone now!

For free?

As far as I know, they will change your tarrif to WnW plus for free if you tell them you have an android device, but I'm not on T-Mobile myself so I haven't tried it.

Personally I find Cherry rPlayer has a better interface, worth looking to compare.

Have a look at an app called Weather Widgets, it has 4x1 and 4x2 widgets that look similar to the HTC one (but sans animations), but it's much better IMO.

How do you know if they have stock? Or is that in your account on their website is says?

My order has gone from "Pending stock" to "Ready For Despatch" which means it's on the way. They have tons of stock in, apparently it came in late on Friday. But it's being dispatched on a first come first serve basis. I ordered on bank holiday Monday.

Hmm, how reliable is the street checker on T-Mobiles website?
According to this I can't get 3G at home. I've heard that operators share masts? I'm with 3 at the moment and can only get half full signal :(
