The only one of those I wouldn't mind would be education. The Lib-Dems aren't exactly business friendly, certainly not road user friendly (perhaps no more fuel stabiliser? :( ) and Hague would make a brilliant foreign sectary. Just shove them in the meaningless posts like Energy or Environment.

Given the Lib Dems idiotic stance on Nuclear power I hope they don't get the Energy post.

There's a couple of banks I can think of who should be made to lend.

The thing is, if I am being honest, banks will lend now, but require much higher deposits. Ordinarily that wouldn't be a bad thing, but given that the market has stagnated rather than crashed, prices are still unrealistic. Because prices are high, deposits are high.

Anyway, sorry to take the thread OT.

Well the LibDem plans were to phase out the personal allowance completely for those earning over 100k, but I suspect that might be lost in the compromise, perhaps by funding it through not increasing the IHT threshold or sometihng.

Let me get this right:
Live interview on bbc website about 20 minutes ago. An MP said tomorrow the deal would have to go to the Labour membership and would need a 75% majority.
&
... Cameron needs 75% of the party's support to get the deal he made with the Lib Dem's through.
You do know that Cameron is the leader of the Tory party, don't you

I really can't believe that Cameron needs to get the support of 75% of the Labour membership for anything he wants to do.

Nice!

Want, want, want.

Clegg is a whore (a dishonourable man if you are offended). He has used wheeling and dealing to try and achieve what he can’t do through the ballot box. It will be his and his party’s downfall as soon as we have another election and we will.

yes, I can't see him being forgiven, he is after all half tory though.

lot's of his votes were to keep the tories out, by by lib dem.

in the mean time, the labour party will have no trouble reinventing themselves.

Now bring on the cuts and see what the country thinks of them.

Tax reductions and cuts, I don't think so, it's all going to end in tears.

Agreed,

Considering how his party performed at the polls, he seems to be getting more leverage than is deserved IMO. Looking at the Guardian photo, "Red Lines" suggests that party interests are indeed coming first, instead of national interest.

well I think you are right, I think you'll find the concessions are less than you think.

I think Clegg has got all goggle eyed as the campaign went on and now he's got a rediculously high opinion of himself.

There would be no point in voting Lib Dem if their only purpose was to get another party's manifesto implemented.

Isn't that a bit obvious?

Whos to say what's in the National interest? Cameron's view is different from Clegg's. It doesn't mean either is wrong.
