Had you worded your post differently it wouldn't have been deleted. You can discuss what you like in the appropriate place but not with a comment like that which was clearly intended to start an argument.

Because 2 differently polarised items will be invisible to each other unless properly aligned. This is one way passive 3D works I believe, one eye sees the horizontally polarised image the other eye the vertically polarised. Same technique on satellite transmissions. You must align the polarisation to see the signal. I once saw a TV that had this on the IR remote. Only worked if the remote was horizontal.

Anyway more importantly I've had my shipment email :) Bit unfair teasing us like this if we're still not going to get anything till Thursday or Friday :( Ordered mine mid morning on that 1st day.
 
My brother who seems to resent the iPad had a play with it today, I think he's secretly converted, he won't get one though.

My brother's iPad, 64Gb Wifi version, imported from the USA :-

I had a play around with it last night at a BBQ over at his place. Initially I thought the iPad was a pointless exercise but after playing around with it I've changed my mind. It's a very clever little bit of kit which has a shedload of potential. :cool:
 
I'm not sure what's more annoying - the fact i'm having to use my pc internet via miwi on my iphone as Pipex are migrating their exchange..... or I placed my ipad order at 11:59pm 9th May and mine still hasn't changed in my Apple account. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!! :mad: :o
 
I've never ordered anything from Apple before so am wondering about tracking. I click the link in the email to track order but see nothing related to the courier company. Will that come up later? How does this work? I really don't want to have to sit in on Thursday just in case it arrives.
 
I think apple use UPS but they don't provide you with a tracking number.

to be honest I hope it doesn't arrive early, Friday is the only time I am going to be in the house to sign for it and if they leave a letter I really don't want to have to go to the depot to pick it up :/
