*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

Still a few weeks away even if it is true. XDA will probably keep rolling out updates to make it even more stable. When the official release comes out, it will take what.. 30 mins max to flash the rom and restore your apps/data? Till then, you can enjoy the Froyo goodness.. :)

Had a quick search and found this one - http://android.modaco.com/content/htc-desire-desire-modaco-com/307365/24-may-r5-htc-desire-rooting-guide-now-with-hboot-0-80-and-os-to-1-21-support/

isnt full froyo on desire out on 23/6 anyway? Why bother with a hacked version for 3 weeks only

It's annoying how various websites have thrown this rumour around.

What was "apparently" said by a "HTC person" (without any proof at all, just a rumour), is that on the 23rd of June there "may" be something that allows you to install Apps to the SD Card.

1. This is so dodgy it's 95% untrue before we start, would be nice if so though.

2. The main point is, this can be done without even touching Froyo by HTC, so it's largely irrelevant :)

Thus, it's important for those who want Froyo to hope XDA/Modaco get one running soon, if HTC are fast with the update, that's a bonus.

whats the best kernel to flash to currently? I'm going to re-flash richardtrips rom, just want to be able to use setcpu and oc a little :)

The front panel USB ports on my new 800D case don’t like to sync the phone, grrrrrrr. Never mind it’s not a show stopper.

Updated to 0.5, took all of about 2 minutes, thanks Robbo!

The camera flash is still completely useless though, completely out of sync.

Indeed, but any progress is good progress!

I wish Google would release the source code already, would make it all so easy to fix :(
