*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

First log into your facebook from the web
On the top right hand side on facebook you will see ACCOUNT
Click on Account and select APPLICATION SETTINGS
Then on the application settings page there will be a drop down box with the title Show: select AUTHORIZE
Then you will have a page with your authorized applications. They are organized by category so you might have to click on the category to expand that section.
In the APPLICATIONS ON FACEBOOK category there will be FACEBOOK FOR ANDROID.
You might have several listings for Facebook for Android. On the far right of the row there is a X.
Click on the X and click REMOVE on the popup.
Do this for every listing of Facebook For Android
Next go to the category DESKTOP APPLICATION.
You will see an entry or entries for HTC SENSE
On the far right of the row of HTC Sense there will be a X
Click on the X and select REMOVE on the popup.
Do this for every listing of HTC Sense

Then go into your phone and re-setup the accounts.

That HAS worked for me, by going into people and refreshing everything etc.

For anyone who debranded their phone via RUU (not root, but unbrand), there's reports of the 1.21.405.2 OTA update breaking WiFi.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=693628&page=3

Yes ..... ******, unfortunately I saw this this morning but did the flash last night. Didn't notice the issue last night but did this morning.

Problem appears to be due to the kernel module for the wifi adapter having a version mismatch against the new kernel.

ERROR

I've got no WiFi thanks to this darned update... don't want to reflash and lose all my setup... takes hours getting everything back the way I like it... hoping for a fix!

Otherwise I'll be rooting soon for a nandroid backup... annoying!

I'm in the same boat with no WiFi. I guess we will have to wait for now and see what happens. I wonder what would happen if I took the phone into phones4u and played dumb ;)

The orange branding is annoying, but some people can live with it. They have changed some icons, and there's 3-4 demos which can't be removed.

Battery life on deFrost 0.5 is becoming prohibitive, even with decent setCPU profiles it's gone from fully charged to 25% in 8 hours with light use, going to flash back to the rooted update until the official HTC release.

Hmmm this browser thing is irritating me and if the battery life is going to be that poor I'm going back. What's the best rom to flash back to?

For those with WiFi issues due to the OTA, I would recommend either two things.

There's a Unroot thread at Monaco which basically means running a RUU. Just make sure you use the generic one for the bootloader on your device.

Or grab MCR 3. 1, will come installed with extra stuff you don't want but you can always remove via adb whilst in recovery or unpack the zip file, remove the apk files of applications you don't want and then re pack & resign.

You will lose settings, but hey, you get WiFi back and an opportunity to switch your googlemail address to gmail if you have not already.

Will MCR 3.1 work?

Oringially my phone was orange branded, but I loaded on a generic rom using the goldcard method. Then yesterday I install the OTA update which bricked my wifi.

I think it will work, seeing as it uses a custom kernel and someone posted about it being a kernel issue. From the sounds of things, the OTA acts like a patch as you obviously don't wipe during the process.

MCR is a great ROM but I have the £9. 99 p/a add free subscription for use of the kitchen. It will take a while on first boot so give it some time :-)
