I've asked this before but have the memory of a peanuthow do I set Launcher Pro as the default?
Clear defaults under HTCSense on the App Manager.
Or if you've just installed it, press the home button
Language & Keyboard/touch input settings/text input calibration tool

Well, looks like I won't be getting my new toy until next week... Mobile phones direct still haven't despatched the phone I ordered yesterday afternoon.

I also see from reviews of their store that they have a habit of taking several weeks to get around to sending items off. I probably should have read up before ordering from them!

I mean on the initial HTC setup teaching you how to use the keyboard it forces the last character to be wrong even when you press it exactly. JUST to show you it changes words.

Not at the moment, got Sense set up quite nicely.
Holding out for stock Froyo goodness, I really like it
They have a live chat link on their site, open it and ask them where it is.
There are no reports of it being pulled, so maybe it's just being updated?
Official website says update was released today so I think you might be right.
Rooted my Desire last night after many many tries. Eventually got it done and installed the FroYo DeFroST 0.5 ROM, finding it much nicer. Was gutted to loose the Sense UI at first, but now I've had a play around with Launcher Pro and got a lot of the useless apps removed, I'm finding the experience much nicer!

For Froyo? Not at the moment, no.
The wife now has her desire and I should be getting mine in the next couple of weeks.
Other than a facebook + contact problem she's had no issues with hers and battery life seems to be improving.

You get Superuser access, which allows you to use apps you wouldn't normally be able to use, and modify the phone in ways you wouldn't normally be able to either, and allows the flashing of custom roms, which increase phone performance, battery life, etc.

Thanks, but not having been following this from the start and not wanting to read through 5000+ posts I wasn't sure.
So... WinFF doesn;t convert all videos properly for my desire, with some videos ending up stuttering (but they're perfect on my ipod touch).
Is this due to the media player or the encoding?
What media player are people using for music/video, and what tool to encode videos?

I'm using DVDFab, encodes DVDs, and other files really well. I was having massive issues with audio sync on my files until I got this. I'm just using the standard video player on the desire to watch my videos too, and they're perfect.
