Please post your windows home server hard drive temps

30-32oC, 4 drives. I have one 120mm fan in there cooling, problem is there's so much dust. I might go for a better (more roomy) case, any recommendations?

Hmm, why can I not add any more hard drives on the Disk Management wireframe? When I get to selecting the position of the new hard drive, selecting any of the options (Above/Below/etc) doesn't allow me to continue.

What type of case are you holding all these drives in?

Lol.. some people have got some serious storage space... cant imagine what the average home user needs it for.. :-p

I'm using the Coolermaster Elite 335 as well (added extra 120mm intake fan to cool HDD), but with a Corsair CX 400w PSU, although not got to the stage where I need to use the 5.25" bays...

Antec P180 case here, which has intake filters that help a bit. One 120mm fan in the lower chamber (PSU + 2HDDs) and another 120mm in front of the other 4 HDDs. The icydock 5-bay is waiting for more disks to appear...

Incidentally, does anyone know of any internal firewire or usb header to sata interface adapters (like you get in external caddies, but obviously without the case or PSU). I'm not using ahci and am wondering if it would be an option for being able to hot swap a backup drive or two.

Wonder how peoples temps are fairing in the warmer weather? Ambient temp in the garage is now about 22oC to 24oC.

Just replaced my smallest drive from my post here so this is the updated temps:

I have moved my server into the stable block. should have done this months ago tbh.

Now with the warm weather they are around 25-28c at night time.

When it gets colder what are the implications of this?

Can drives drop in temps to much?

Cheers

What about maximum safe temp for drives? I have my WHS in my shed (which is quite small) and the rig is folding as well so temps get pretty high (I'll post a screenshot later)
