*** The all new iPhone 4 thread - Keep all iPhone 4 stuff in here ***

have just been reading the o2 site about upgradeing and saw this

"Option 3: Wait until you're eligible for an upgrade.

All Pay Monthly O2 customers are part of O2 Priority List and everyone has an opportunity to upgrade early. Have a look at the table below to see how soon you will be eligible for an upgrade.

If you're a Platinum customer... get a 6 month early upgrade
If you're a Gold customer... get a 3 month early upgrade
If you're a Silver or Blue customer... get a 1 month early upgrade
If you don't already know your Priority List tier you can find out by texting DATE to 21302.

Terms apply. Get more information on O2 Priority List ."

Just had a play on the O2 website and i'm pleased to find out you can select your delivery date!

that means i can organise my iPhone 4 to arrive the day after i get back from Glastonbury.....

perfect as i didn't really want to miss the pre-order date and have to wait when i get back

well i pay £42 a month excluding o2 insurance putting me in silver, does that mean rather than upgrading after 12 months like my contract states i can upgrade after 11 instead?

Well that worked out nicely. :D

Anyone doing the early upgrade offer?

I'm on a 24 month contract with my 3GS which I only took out in January so I have 17 months to go on it.

I am thinking of selling my very good conditon 3GS for +£300

I am paying £45 a month and according to o2s calculator by the time the 24th comes I will need to pay £340 to end my contract.
I am just wondering how much the handset is going to cost to go back on a 24 month £45 contract. It was free for the 3GS.

I'm thinking I may stick with T-Mobile (my current Pay&go provider) , but they haven't announced any tarrifs or costs yet :(.

May be a silly question but if I preorder am I guaranteed to be able to pick one up in store on release day? :)

Just went into my local O2 shop and the guy was pretty sure that they WONT be doing pre orders in store on tuesday and said it just be first come first served on the day of release.

So far from people worrying abou what contract to get etc I'm worried about even being able to get one at all.

But then again how trustworthy are mobile phone salesmen...

Sorry if this is a repost but didn't see it mentioned.

I'll ask this again as i don't want to get caught out and didn't get a definate answer.

If i go to the apple website when they are selling them, click on one and just buy the hardware, is it gonna work that i can take my current sim with O2 cut it down and slot it into the new phone and carry on, on my tariff?
