Pay & Go tariffs

You may know this, but you don't need a monthly contract to get an iPhone. iPhone 4 will be coming soon to Pay & Go but it won't be available at launch. When we have more information on pricing we will let you know.

Just not at launch. Argh! I have to re-think plans to get one now!!

 This better not stop them giving out Micro Sims to PAYG customers who pre-ordered with Apple.

Am very confused!

The girlfriend was just told by staff at o2 (oxford circus I presume) that they cannot give anyone a micro-sim instore until the 24th and o2 WILL NOT be sending any micro-sims out (as their registering page suggested)......

Anybody heard otherwise? Seems this launch is a right mess as far as the networks go.

I called o2 yesterday and they just said to register on the site, select online, select buying at launch and it will bring up a page to enter your address so they can send you a micro sim out. Exactly when they send you the micro sim is anyones guess though.

I'll probably be doing this aswell if O2 won't give/sell new micro sims and transfer the details over.

Again don't worry, they'll transfer your details over. If you've paid for the phone outright from apple like me o2 will transfer your contract details over.

What i've heard from Orange sounds a bit bad though. Not being able to transfer details over if buying direct from apple and not on their PAYG? Sounds like apple need to kick them into shape to stop a mass of preorder cancellations.

I don't get the 100 min plan pricing,

Over 24 months, its cheaper and has less initial outlay to do 18 months @ 35 plus 6 months of £20 on a 30 day rolling until the iPhone 6 comes out.

Am I the only person not worried! lol

I'll be turning up at the Apple store 5am to queue, when i get to see an Apple Store representative I will let them sort out everything. From my understanding they will have everything they need to sort out upgrades/new contracts for o2/voda/orange. Im guessing that includes the microsims. All we need to take is the relevant paperwork.

For me that makes my life incredibly easy! Im planning to stay with vodafone, im currently out of contract and on a 1 month sim only package. This will be my first iphone!

I cant wait! Roll on Thursday!
