This result could actually be exactly what England need to get their backsides into gear. With a scare of possibly not qualifying, it might ring a host of changes.
 
It's a sad fact that Lampard and Gerard can't play in the same midfield, whilst they are different players they both want to do the same thing and occupy the same space. Gerard was so poor tonight because he couldn't be where he wanted to be and in the end moved to an area that he's rubbish in. And it happens to one of them every time.

Rooney, I don't even know where to start tbh.
 
im surprised at the amount of negative comments towards heskey...he was one of the better players on the pitch today....albeit mainly in a defensive/holding up the ball sense. Infact all 3 of capellos subs removed the 3 better players on the pitch!

Rooney, gerrard, lampard and johnson were all utter **** though. Rooney should not start the next game, thats two games on the trot that he has been the worst player on the pitch, if he starts the next game capello needs to get the sack pronto.
 
Rooney, Lampard & Gerrard all sucked like a ten bob whore. (ten bob is 50pence to the Young'uns so a pretty damn cheap whore)
It was dire & about the worst I've ever seen England play & I am old.
Dafoe was about the only player I saw that deserved to wear the shirt, The others can suck the nutz out of my crap.
 
Hoping the fans boo them when they come on to the pitch to start the game and throughout the anthem.
 
All hope is lost IMO, if they can't create anything against the likes of Algeria then they have no hope.

Rooney's comments at the camera were a disgrace, fans traveled thousands of miles to watch England perform so bad it's unreal, what's he expecting? a standing ovation, world class clown that looks fat and crap.

When these players play for their clubs they play around decent foreign players who make them look good.

Thats the reality of the situation tbh.
 
The 'White Pele' - you're having a laugh!! When will english fans/press ever open their eyes?? Just goes to show we dont know anything about football tbh. Proof that he is overrated, overpaid, and should never spoken of in the same league as such greats. He's nowhere near the likes of lineker for christs sake!! anyway enough of the ranting....

England are just rubbish - predictable and no invention whatsoever, simple as. Joe cole should have been on from the start of the 2nd half. If there was an argument for Adam Johnson to be in the squad then this game was it- we needed a player with that extra something, unpredictability and somebody nobody knows much about. A BIG mistake from Capello IMO.

And stupid itv commentary - just a complete bunch of tools - Algeria were the better team - better on the ball, better passing and movement, but its not acknowlegded in the slightest - just makes me sick to see how blind the media are. Yes England were crap but Algeria were better throughout the park - and how good is Belhadj!!

Shouldn't make any difference if he is Scottish or not.. A lot of the best managers have been Scottish
