If all the players didn't like the formation why didn't they just change it while on the pitch? Its not like there is some magic hand keeping them in there position's they could have just huddled up after half time and gone hey lads its obviously not working and capello has lost his balls. why don't we all play in our best positions.
What is Heskey's best position?
Much better than this squad of muppets we have playing...those 2 aquads would have put in much more effort than we did last night. Sir Bobby Robson must be rolling in his grave with our 2 lame assed performances so far.
You obviously missed the times we got slated under Sir Bobby for taking too long to get going in a major comp.
You need to go back and look at italia 90, we drew with the Republic of Ireland 1-1. The equivalent or worse than the USA. Then drew 0-0 with a very poor dutch team that didn't get through the group. We then went into the last game having to beat the mighty egypt. Got through the group with 4 points, which would be 5 with todays scoring.
We were then plodding through the Belgium game, yep the mighty belgium until platts extra time goal, got pretty lucky against cameron with pens before the germans. We then lost to italy in the playoff.
3 wins from 7 matches is not immense!
Rose tinted glasses from a time in your boyhood.
Were you just watching Hansen as well then? It's amazing how badly Gerrard held his position last night.
Drop him or play 5 in midfield.

He's not a left sided midfielder so he's always going to come inside. Should swap him and Lampard around and see if Frank does any better out wide.
Barry was brought in to relieve Lampard of his defensive duties and Gerrard was pushed out wide so Lampard could get forward unimpeded.Ah, but Frank is better in the middle, and it seems that we have to play Barry, so unless Gerrard plays in behind Rooney (which I would prefer) there's no room for him.
