Be interesting to see just hwo much thinner this thing is compared to the 3gs. I really don't see why they constantly want to make things like a phone thinner, its not as if the original or the 3gs were so massively bulky they'd bust a hip if you carried them in your pocket. Just gotten to a point now where making a phone thinner seems pointless but they keep on doing it because Jobs seems to constantly want things thinner.

He just wants everything to be as thin as himself ;) I understand what you mean though. It would be ridiculous If the next phone is centralised on being thinner.

He wants his products to be like him

Just FYI guys, popped into my local Orange store today after ringing them the other day. Basically I signed my contract and paid the handset cost today, and I can pop in on Thursday after work to pick it up. :)

Might be worth asking if your local one is doing the same.

Awesome news, will give mine a call tomorrow.

I went into my local o2 shop, picked up a micro SIM, came home and did the swappy thing online. It all comes so that it can be first snapped out into a current SIM package so that it works in the junk phone I currently have and will just need to pop it out again and into the iPhone on Thursday.

Was this for a simplicity chip?
I take it they have no issues with giving out the micros sims for new simplicity contracts?
I just have the vision of going into town this week and not being able to get a micro sim prior to friday ><

Might pop to my local branch Monday at lunch

I've reserved a White one at the Orange store for pickup on Pay and Go.

Got Orange to send me a Micro-SIM which was a pain, get to transfer my number onto it.

I'm led to believe that the SIM free from Apple once a SIM has been inserted / activated it locks the phone to that network? Anyone know if that's true...

Thanks.

They didn't ask what contract I'm on, I just had to show them my confirmation of order email from Apple.

My local O2 store is opening at 8:02am... And I live 160 yards away, so hopefully I can get one before work. Who knows. No idea of cost yet (business upgrade half way through contract), and white would be preferred.

Just because you don't have people watching doesn't mean the bids won't fly in towards the end...

Can always have a mate on standby with a bay account in case ;)
