Imagine if Roy Keane was captain of England last night. He'd have had a hernia.
He would have sparked a few them out stone cold lol

No because he would've had a fight with capello and been sent home after the USA game.

Rather that than Fabio 'Can't speak English for Toffee' Capello, telling them "YOU PLAY BETTER NOW YES".
What an absolute tool.
I'd be tempted to try a 5-3-2 with Cole and Johnson acting as wing backs, Barry holding for Gerrard and Lampard in the centre and Rooney and Defoe upfront.
Thats why the italia 90 squad after two games took the same hammering for passion that this team has, but hey you remember it how you want to.
There is no way I'd play 3 at the back with johnson anywhere near the side. Bloody algeria ran right through him time after time. It would be like playing with a man short against portugal or anyone with a half decent left sided winger.
Ok forget 5-3-2 and let's call it 3-5-2. I always thought Johnson and Cole would make better wingers than full backs.
Loving Ian Wrights call in. Going down as one of the greats.
Oh god yes, at Italia 90, we pretty much scraped through to the semi's and had one good game against the Krauts, and lost on pens, Platty saved us against belgium and then Lineker against Cameroon.
The only Tourney we ever did well in imo was Euro 96.
.
I really think since Shearer / Owen we haven't been able to fill the striker positions.
Rooney is and isn't a class striker. Owen and Shearer give everyone the feeling that they were just odds on to score all the time
