My address is gmail and i changed it after i got my desire and it works perfectly fine.

Does Gmail push email and Google Talk still work for you since changing your address? I think the market place issue can be addressed after changing email address without factory formatting the phone, but not the Gmail push and Google Talk features.
You're the only person I've encountered who doesn't have this issue since changing address.

On my Desire, on the little connection arrows, i only ever get a "G" but on my mrs' Dext yesterday i saw she had "3G?"
Am i getting a weaker signal than her, or is it the same?

My YouTube app is useless, it always fails, just now I was watching a vid and it gets to 30 seconds and just freezes.. I can never skip through and sometimes it just won't play when it played a few seconds before, I'm having to download anything to watch it on a media player :/

Have gone with the MoDaCo ROM for the time being, but find that when it goes into standby, it disables my WiFi connection (WiFi still enabled) and uses data connection. The only way to reinstate the WiFi is to reconnect.
For travel, I could be at my desk but I'm not and posting from somewhere nice. All I need now is a PhotoShop app.
Very impressed with my battery life atm, 77% remaining 27 hours after full charge and I haven't made any full cycles yet. Stock ROM.
What I found very annoying over the weekend though was the inability to view the screen properly in bright sunlight, I was playing football and could barely see what I was doing on the screen. I have the brightness on auto control, anything else I can do to improve visibility?
Also I've been meaning to root and maybe try some ROM's for the last week now, but been busy watching a lot of sport So haven't put any time aside to look into it properly, as 2.2 is going to be out soon I'm now inclined to wait for that. Any reasons to root beforehand or even when 2.2 is out?

Ive used one for years with PDAs, iPhones, Nokias & now this Desire. Fits fine.

Sold mine last night for £350 which i didnt think id get...was sad to see it go but as im getting the iphone4 later this week..i couldnt see the point of keeping it in all honesty.
