Looks like theres a real problem in between terry and capello going by what capellos saying now on itv!

Suggesting his door is always open to hear problems
But terry didn't come to see him, just aired his problems in public.

No amount of formation or tactics would have really saved England on Friday against Algeria.

It was their complete and utter lack of ball control and simple passing technique that let them down. They couldnt even trap the ball properly for god's sake. Almost every pass was wayward, there was no urgency about them and they simply never looked like doing anything.

It looked more psychological than anything else.

The simple fact is, is that on Friday, none of them could actually play football at anywhere near the quality needed at this level, correct formation or not.

I didn't watch the match... how bad was it? How would they have faired against a middle of the road club like Liverpool, Everton or Stoke?

Capello saying Terry made a 'big mistake' and that only he came to Capello about the problems. Isn't that Gerrard's job?

Its pretty clear the whole changing of captain because of Terry's wrongdoings in his private life was just a front for the media.

Terry is still the real 'captain' - as in, he does what the captain should be doing for the team.

Saying he's speaking for the team when in fact he's just speaking for himself?

No, clearly speaking for them all, and when it looked like Capello was going to get mad about players wanting to talk openly to him, the rest backtracked and had their agents make statements so they don't get dropped and lose sponsorship money, that seems pretty much how it happened.

Whats not denied and seems to have happened, is after the shambolic game 9 of the senior players had a pint, talked it over and all had issues they wanted to talk to Capello about, Terry said this, Capello got angry 8 players wimped out.

I doubt it will stop you pulling random **** out of the air but Terry actually said that a load of the players and the management (including Capello) all sat down together and had a drink.

Terry went into the press-conference and gave his 'I am tarzan' speech without the support or knowledge of the players he was speaking 'on behalf of' and has been left to look like an idiot.

slight edit for clarification :)

He did actually state in the conference that he was speaking for himself when he gave his answers.

Actually he stated he was speaking for the team at the beginning

So you really think he was speaking for the team when he stated that Rooney and Cole were the only players who could unlock a defence?

I doubt that Lampard, Gerrard, Lennon, SWP, Milner, or Carrick were particularly impressed by that particular write off, they are all capable of unlocking defences when they play well.

Terry was doing what he always does, looking after no.1 and no.1's best mates. Capello has stated that he has an open door policy for players to talk to him at any time...Terry messed up by shooting his mouth off to the media when it should have been done behind closed doors, i don't really see how you can excuse him playing this out in the media, that's not exactly what a team player should do.

Sure are a lot of people who work within the England world cup camp posting in here with their insider knowledge. No wonder we arent doing well , Team England in South Africa are spending too much time posting on OCUK.

Did you see Lampard's press conference? He handled that point very well. It's obvious what he is actually talking about in terms of unlocking a defence.

Im as big an England fan as anyone else, but I'm sorry, this squad is just pathetic.

Bored at a World Cup??

Questioning the very manager that everyone was praising and who gave them a chance to be at the cup with one of the best qualification campaigns ever?

John Terry is a total moron, and I now hope that Slovenia knock England out, as none of them deserve to be there.

Hopefully Capello can stay on after the WC, and ditch most of the squad, and rebuild for the Euros, with a decent group of exciting young players, like Agbonlahor, Ashley Young, Walcott, Adam Johnson etc etc.

Breaking News just in from talksport:

Heskey dropped, Lennon dropped. Joe Cole not in starting line up. Defoe on from the start, Milner on from the start.

I've just watched JT's press conference on Youtube, and other than the goit next to him I didn't see anything wrong.

It's obviously not the full thing as he didn't mention the unlocking of a defence, but I thought he made some good point and had his usual forthright opinions.

No problem for me.

The side I play with has a player or two that can unlock a defence, but that doesn't mean that I'm belittling the players around them.

I don't know how reliable TS are, but those are good changes if you ask me. Those were the worst two performers (Gerrard aside) against Algeria. Still a shame about JCole but I didn't expect him to be starting anyway so I'm not disappointed.
