Am considering doing this too but can be bothered with the hassle of getting to MK.
Shame you cant Ebay the reservation e-mail.....![]()
Just got a call from o2 saying I had been pre selected for an iphone for delivery Thursday, managed to talk him into giving me the 32gb for free, well I had to take a 24 month contract but I have been with them for 9 years so can’t see me changing anytime soon. Only thing is I already ordered one on the apple website due for delivery Thursday as well, do you think I would get a good price for it on ebay? or the very least my money back?
Has anyone who pre-ordered from Apple had confirmation of shipping yet?
Just had the confirmation email come through telling me the order is being processed ready for thursday delivery.
Cheers
Wait a min, there are 2 q's for Thursday, one for those who pre-ordered and one for those who haven't, so your telling me even though i pre-ordered i have to wait till 2nd July for my phone, whilst a bum can q up and get one on Thursday???
The up front handset pricingOk, I'm confused. The following is based on the 300mins contract with a 16GB iPhone 4:
12m Simplicity = £15/month * 24 + £500 simfree iPhone 4 = £860 total for 24m
24m Contract = £30/month * 24 + £179 iPhone 4 = £899 total for 24m
Where is my incentive to get a 24 month contact or have I missed something?

The incentive is that you only have to shell out £179 for the handset up front instead of £500.
Think of it as a 24 month payment plan with interest added.![]()
Wish I hadnt swapped to the micro sim at work as it needs iTunes to activate and its blocked here........![]()
1. So if I can afford the upfront, 12m Simplicity is the better option?
2. Is that the correct price for a simfree handset, £500?
3. O2 website says they wont be doing PAYG on launch, does that mean I'll need to go to an Apple store for a simfree handset then go to O2 to change my contract?
