my friend is going to Tesco's early in the morning in hopes of a contract phone, what ID does he need to take? I was thinking a Gas bill and driving licence.

I believe that Bluewater opens at 10am during the week, so unless there has been a special announcement, I think you can get to the O2's (There are 2 of them) in Bluewater by around 9 or 10.
